The lack of human characters to pit against all these predators is a more bothersome omission than the falcon to me, though I understand the reason Neca doesn't make them...sort of (they do make human characters from less obviously merchandisable films that have no aliens or robots in them)

Speaking of Predator paint jobs, if I have to retouch the Elder Predator I won't be buying anymore NECA Predators I'm starting to slightly become annoyed at having to touch them up because the factory NECA have are frankly lazy when it comes to paint apps, I want NECA Predators not Hasbro Predators.

meh. i don't need either. they're both boring two-dimensional cartoon characters. you can't tell me there's a fundamental difference between Dutch and Commando. and Harrigan was another in a long line of "i'm gettin' too old for this" grizzled cops. i like Predator movies because predators are cool. the people are just there to get killed in cool ways, or win the day against the mean alien. i didn't care about the HT human figures, i'd care even less about little 6" NECA ones.

that said, Busey sorely needs an action figure. he's just too much.

Amen, i could give 2 craps about any of those human characters. I want monsters/aliens that kill humans. I have no love for the human characters no matter how cool they might have been in the movies. There just there to get murdered for my enjoyment.

So, you have all of these PREDATORS with nothing to kill, and all of these ALIENS with nothing to kill.. Hmmm...
I agree though, I'd like some human figures..
Harrigan, Dutch, Apone, Vasquez, Hudson, Hicks, Billy, Hanzo, Stans, etc..

To each there own my friend, while you want to recreate scenes from movies, I like to just wallow in the awesomness that is the monster/alien in front of me in all there glory. See im the guy in scifi and horror movies that cheers for the monsters to win and I want everone dead. So when that character gets a toy/statue I just want that as the main focus, but agian thats just me.

For human figures, I recommend Diamond Select's Stargate SG-1/Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica lines. The humans are the perfect scale for the Alien and Preds, come in all sorts of military/tactical and civillian uniforms and BDU's, and come with some awesome weapons accessories too.

i'd agree if NECA actually made dioramas and playsets to make scenes in. like Hasbro does with their SW figures. but NECA won't do that, so i just want the cool monsters.

I see what you're getting at but I'm just bored with Alien versus Predator.

Aside from recreating scenes which, true, would be better served in dioramas and playsets anyway, I'd like to have each of my favourite films represented fully by the creatures obviously but also by at least one of the core human characters they fought.

I think we forget that Predator is as much an 'Arnie' film as it is a Predator film. Get people to list the Arnie classics and Predator will be among them. I think he warrants a figure in his own right, and definitely because of the association with the Predator creature. Then getting Harrigan would be a nice symmetry - the core human character in P1 and P2.

if so does any of yours have a few very tiny black spots, here and there,and if so what are they? i know its not paint.

i view Predator as a Stan Winston movie and so i only care about the creature. Arnold has had countless toys made of him since the late 1980s and there's no real difference between them. they're all just Arnold. a Commando figure is just as good as a Dutch figure or a Last Action Hero figure. there's really no point in making one more Arnold figure now. especially in 1:4 scale which are notorious peg warmers in the first place.
