ah the vortex. Thats the phenomenon whereby something falls to the ground and somehow vanishes completely from sight, yes? as though it must have bounced and propelled itself off on some unpredictable seemingly unlikely trajectory to land where you never find it..or find it only weeks or months later.

I had that happen before. With a pistol from the N2 Toys Matrix figures. The gun dropped and didn't make a sound. I found it about a year later underneath some books in a nightstand that was about 5 feet away from where it should have fallen.

I'm pretty happy with my series 1 Classic. 1/4 is out soon too so let's wait on see how the new factory turns out

Yeah, the pics you have posted of your classic look really good, you got one that was painted very nicely. I can't really see thenew ones being much better than that.

I thought about that so I gave them a scrub down. It did help some.

While the Classic will probably basically be the same, just executed with higher quality, I'm curious about Berserker. It's hard to imagine they'll have the new masked version retain the weird polka dot skin of the original. After all, they specifically addressed that for series two because they weren't happy. Maybe some people will be saved the trouble of putting a masked head on a series two body.

On a side note. I was watching Aliens at 2am last night half asleep. Woke up at the Queen hive part. I was officially terrified again. What a terrifying beauty she is

Yeah, it will have the series 2 body. Aside from being improved, it's probably easier for NECA to just produce the single type of painted body for both the unmasked and masked figures, then pop the head on the appropriate body/packaging. All the parts are probably made at the same time and then just assembled according to the series number.

Heck, one of my 2-pack Preds has an open right hand from the series 2 battle damaged Classic in place of an open left hand. Parts must have gotten mixed up in the bins during assembly when they were making series 2 and the 2-pack.
