Yes, I did. I just didn't realize that group of Predators at the end was referred to as the "Lost Clan." Was that something mentioned in the movie's script?

The way I've had it explained to me was, after shooting Predator 2 it was asked what to do with the costumes from the ending sequence in the spaceship, and they were told to throw them away. So since it's not known where the costumes are, they're LOST.

That I don't know. Don't even really know if the throwing them away thing is correct. Just how I had seen it explained before.

i think there's parts from pretty much all of them around. some of them are in private collections. and parts of the elder costume went up for auction recently.

plus, it doesn't really make sense for SWS to just throw their props away. they reused that stuff all the time. even the lost clan preds had parts from other Winston creatures on them. and it's not like they didn't have enough space to keep them.

loh my god, if that really happened i would honestly go to the dumpster or the city dump looking for them, that sucks,
but, at the same time, how many times movies make detailed sets and destroy them afterwards, didnt they build an entire highway for matrix reloaded to have it destroyed afterwards?
this is not the same, these are costumes, but, i could see the reasoning behind it

Well the problem isn't that it is not Gort, because technically it isn't. In P2, Gort wore the P2 armor. However, Gort's helmet was a prototype of the P1 design befre they went with what we all know as the P1 Bio. There is a photo of the P1 pred with the Gort bio, so it is kinda legit....

Yeah, it's on like page 105 of the book The Winston Effect. The "Gort" mask was a mechanical interpretation of the Predator's face, but they changed it the more simple, tribal design so as not to give away the look of the creature too early in the movie. In one of the photos of the FX crew, you can see a crew member holding the knife that Elder holds at the end of P2, as well.

Oh and on SyFy that Hollywood Treasures show (Profiles in History) found a mixed Predator costume. It was very odd. It looked like Snakes head, Borg's body and a mix n' match set of armor. The most striking thing was the different colors of the head and body, which no one else seemed to notice

Soooo, anyone know if NECA will do a P2 Gort? Or are we gonna just do a head swap

NECA insists they're making every single lost clan pred. and there's no reason they can't make Gort since they'd just need to stick the head on a P2 body and add the dreads. i think even the paint scheme is the same. the whole clan is pretty interchangeable parts-wise and that's probably the only reason NECA is making them. squeezes more $$ out of the molds.

got my sdcc p1 in gort helmet from amazon today, it don't have the sdcc sticker on the package, but it's the real thing.
it has a pretty good paint job, alot better then i thought it would have, it could use a few minor touch up's.
, i haven't opened it, not sure i will, but i love the gort mask., the trohpey skull and spine looks alright, not great.
sorry i don't have a camera to post pictures..

in package i would give it a 4 out of 5. if i open it and check it out better the score could go lower.
now i'm more hopeful getting the masked p1 after seeing and having this one in person.

the shipping was only $4.99, they're sold out of instock ones,and now taking pre-orders, this is as cheap as you will find one online.
