You mean a giant dollar bill sign with dreadlocks.
I never really understood the reasoning behind making toys from R rated movies. Specially gory movies and specially silly weird colorful toys for kids.
That's like these targeted for kids, feels kind of wrong
As a retailer i can tell you that these are not targeted at kids. I sell a lot of Chucky related merchandise and they are mostly bought by young women.Mezco are targeting these at the same customers who buy Living Dead Dolls ect, these are mostly sold in specialty and comic book shops any way not toy shops.
NECA products from R-rated movies have a recommended age on them as do Mezcos products.I wouldn't sell a Horror movie figure to a child unless the childs parents bought it for them.
yeah I Was just saying the Kenner preds were actually targeted at kids. Which is beyond me.
Like seriously why would a company agree to do this and how come no one boycotted the figures back then? If that was to happen today, that a company made child friendly colorful toys from a violent movie, I bet there would be an uproar.
just kinda weird that back then no one really cared.

Well Neca's own retro Django series is a perfect example. That caused a *****storm and those figures clearly weren't even aimed at kids.
yea crazy i mean, kenner's pred line was the only one like that not like aliens having a line like it or robocop or terminator but only the kenner predator shame on them.

that's the thing, Kenner toys were actually aimed at kids. I just think people in the 90s didn't really care. If Kenner did that today there would be a boycott. the company would have to pull the toys from shelves. make a public apology.
lol just last week going to a local comic book store this 11 year old kid went in with his parents and grabbed a neca's freddy figure and did the parent say no to him? nope they asked if he was sure that freddy was the right one he wanted out of the two (dream child and dream warriors) figures. im sorry but not much has changed in kids eyes when it comes to action figures the figures based on a violent movie they are an awesome way to brag to play and show off to friends
okay so you are basing your point on One parent and One kid?
and? are you basing yours off your own opinion? cause i can tell you even when i was a kid i was into buying the movie based toylines.
no, I am basing my thoughts on how over protective parents are today and how Anything can cause a boycott.
I am not even going to use the Django Unchained toys as an example because those were meant for adults,
but parents today overreact about anything. Parents will sue companies for anything at all these days. It happens over and over, schools today are freaking out about the stupidest things, kids get suspension for anything today, Even for playing with a piece of paper shaped like a gun, or for eating candy.
So seeing how things are today, I really couldn't see how the Kenner figures would be well received if they were new.
Actually I am surprised Toys R us has Freddy Kruger and Jason and predators on sale, believe me I don't know why no one has complained yet.
cause its an opinion on the matter , not all parents are up in arms and strict if a parent doesnt want them to be around it at school thats one thing but whats in a store is another, i mean spencers and hot topic are in the malls does that mean it should be avioded at all times? or just dont go to those areas? its not like the freddy, jason, and preds are in the barbie isle now.
yes, but Hot Topic, Spencers, Freddy Jason and the Predators are not Aimed at kids, They are not the main target for sales.
Kenner was aimed at kids. They were the main target for sales. There is a difference.
I really don't understand how no one made a complain. Like I said, the 90s no one gave a crap about anything lol
well someone is making a complaint and its you, just the wrong place to be voicing it.
