The logic that the Predator lost all logic due to agonising pain is perhaps plausible. In fact that's what I'd need to believe to explain why he can wildly flail his arms uselessly in the air instead of making the simple (if equally useless at that point) gesture of reaching for Harrigan's arm.

If some kid grabs your nuts and says "my name is Homer, H.O.M.E.R, don't forget it" do you push him away or stand there in helpless pain?

i dunno who argues with who, i'm just stating what i'm stating:
- normal human reaction for belly hit/cut is not resistance but shock;
- predator wasn't just cut with a knife, he like got an axe hit, his belly was already messed with bullets and not patched, his brain drugged, his muscles tired and not working (as he couldn't even hit Harrigan strong enough and was easily stopped with a disc in a human arm, though previously he threw entire humans in the air);
- what predator did looked absolutely normal for his situation and condition
- he didn't die from that hit.

a-devil may try to lure people into arguing with each other, i won't yield to the devil

Yeah I had to replace it cause it looked off.

i've seen that P1 repaint before, so it was yours. damn! those skills! i'm so envious.

Holy ****. I had never considered City Hunter could've survived.

Makes perfect sense.

Woah.

:lol

I have to say I never considered that the CH survived. I always interpreted the moving mandible to be a post-mortem twitch.

*Alan Silvestri - Brrrrrrr NUM*
:lol yeah me too.

But now I'd like to think of it as a possibility now, experienced Predator missing an arm, I like the idea.

I kinda think there would be no sudoku type suicide, if he survived I'd like to think he just licked his wounds and kept on hunting on other places.

Think about how cool his prosthetic arm would be.

wow looks like i brought some new idea that pleases not only me

this discussion about vital organs made me re-remember all scenes and think of it as a possibility that cannot be taken out judging by filmed material only. of course the script can say that he died.

The novelisation differs from the movie in quite a few places - including THAT scene.
that's because it's novelization. it's about samurai cavemen jajujas from comics. puke material about honors, codes and barbaric monsters on spaceships. later included into Rodrigators movie.

Yeah that's the only thing I don't like about it, the price of failure, it reads like honor code bull, I'd like to think of it as more pragmatism than honor code, of not having to spend time and resources caring for the wounded, more a mercy than hurrr u have no honorrr!

Much like the JH killing Poncho because he was slowing down Dutch.

yeah that Poncho execution was brutal. P1 was a mean SOB as a whole, just check the unfinished scenes of him toying with Dutch, forcing him to get out of hidings and to run in zigzags with shoulder cannon blasts.

I knooow, that scene was great, do you know by any chance why it didn't make the cut? JH is ****ing insidious there.

There was a similar idea at the end of the original Batman vs. Predator Dark Horse graphic novel - in that, the Pred killed
himself.
Yeah I just read that, because of NECA's announcement.

I remembered it being so good (when I was a kid :lol) but it's just ok, for Predator comicbook standards which isn't saying much, now I need to read Tarzan vs Predator, hopefully that one survives the juja syndrome that Predator comics have :lol

It's Walt Simonson so I can only hope.

jajujas don't kill unarmed or hit from behind! it was cut because it doesn't fit the jajuja code of honor, and everybody knows that P1 movie was poorly based on comics and books. remember Poncho and Blaine death, only noobs like some Thomas brothers could make jajuja do that, who the hell are they to decide.

Yeah - Batman vs. Predator series #1 was "OK", but I seem to remember the next 2 go-rounds were awful.

Only read the Tarzan vs. Predator once - can't say I was over-impressed.

I have my fave Pred graphic novels that's for sure - but these 2 were not among them :)

Haha, I'd actually be all in for Predator 3 where the City Hunter returns to Earth some mech arm/abdomen, like Freeza. Adam Baldwin can find old Dutch and Harrigan to team them up.
