Thats the exact word I thought and was gonna post :lol

I am looking forward for Broken Tusk. Hope they do a Deluxe in the future with a new head like they did with the Scarface COncrete Jungle one.

There's probably the exact same ratio of new to reused parts on Jungle Briefing Dutch as there is on any one of these EU Predators.

Not saying I like it, just saying it's not all that surprising.

you might be true. But for me Broken Tusk does not feel a joke like Dutch does. Other Predators are a high % of reuse, no doubt about that

I wonder if there's any other figure's legs they could have used instead..or that we could use in a kitbash.

What footwear was he wearing in that scene? I assume they at least re sculpted the lower leg for him.
As for alternatives, I would think the Ash vs. ED figure slacks would have been an easy solution. Plain khakis, but maybe a bit dark. Hard to say about how much modification to make them fit the hips were required.

You don't really get a good look at his footwear. When he's stepping out of the helicopter you can kinda see a silhouette of his shoes - they don't look like his jungle boots I think I can say that much - flatter and more pointy-toed maybe.

I was thinking this too, though rather than switching out only the legs I was thinking about popping both figures apart at the waist to do a complete lower body transplant for red shirt Dutch. For future Dillon customization needs (in case we never do get any official NECA versions) I've purchased the recent Apollo Creed figure, which means I've not only got the right base for a Jungle Encounter Dillon, but I've also got an extra Carl Weathers headsculpt for a potential grinning 'Son of a *****' Dillon. But to complete that, I'd need the right base figure(s). Any recommendations?

Edit after seeing P.'s post above and checking out the Evil Dead figures over at BBTS: yeah, either Hero Ash or Value Stop Ash (the only one that's still avail. at BBTS) will work. The pants need a repaint, and they're a little tight through the thighs, but Arnold's got big legs, so good enough. Even if not perfect, they'll be more accurate than what NECA provided :lol

Yeah that's what I was envisioning. It's definitely a pity NECA went cheap here but this is better than nothing so I'll take it and keep an eye out for other figures that might have appropriate legs and shoes. Problem is there's quite a few criteria to fill there. Actual physical compatibility, accurate looking trousers and shoes and proper leg length and bulk. Probably a forlorn hope that I'd find something that'll work.

i don't understand - why sculpt a new shirt and not new boots & trousers.

* * *

just checked Neca Ash (in google) - all i saw had round-nosed shoes with shoelaces. instead of pointy leather boots with a specific heal.

Hmmm, when you see them in full view and full light they do look totally wrong. They are wrong of course but what I mean is my brain is insufficiently fooled by the repaint. It is unable to 'pretend' that the straps and thigh pockets aren't there etc etc. They really do stand out....:(
