Might try a different colour scheme next..

Sculpting the chair will take some time but will make resin copies once finished.

no worries. I really like the latest chair suit repaint. very nice! those urns/ampules that neca has informed us about will go nicely w your army of repainted engineers.

Thanks very much guys! I'm still trying to get hold of a David 8 figure but with no luck:(

I uploaded a video to YouTube. Will post it up in a sec.

Every morning before I leave for work, I check out my collectables in my living room and low and behold my Deacon figure is laying on his face every time!:thud:

No matter how I pose this guy he always finds a way to tip over, even when displayed with the stand. His knee joints isn't the tightest and the poses you put him in is pretty awkward to be bent like that, but damn, this is getting ridiculous already! :gah:

I may have to glue his knees soon. :(

Anybody else been having their Deacon tip over lately?

damn, that sucks. I don't have one, I thought about getting him but I didn't like him enough.

man...sorry to hear about your deacon issues. Wish i could help; dont have any trouble with any of my deacon figures.
Perhaps you could try posing him on his knees (without the stand)? I much prefer this method to him standing anyways.

Mine did the same thing when he was squatted down. It just always fell with the stand. SO what I did is simply just did not squat him down as much and he's been fine ever since. If you have him in that low squat position just try lifting him up some and see if that helps.

the knees on my deacon are pretty tight. I have not had it tip over once.

So how is everyone displaying the hammerpedes? I used some clear figure stands and used the holes in the bottom to attach them.

I still haven't got these guys yet. Anyone fancy buying them and I'll square you up lol

My local comic shop still don't have them in :banghead:

Dammit... series 3 won't consist of Fifeld and Shaw. Sounds like holo engineers and Holloway.

just to confirm the rumors that have been floating around lately...

Randy (NECA) has stated that Prometheus series 3 IS happening and that it will consist of two figures, Holographic pressure suit engineer and Holographic chair suit engineer. At least one accessory for S3 has been confirmed. A picture of said accessory went up on twitter today and it is a fantastic looking urn/ampule. Though its not finished, preliminary work on urn has exceeded my expectations (urn opens up etc. as well).
We should expect to see series 3 in stores this summer.

In addition, randy said that, if the cumulative sales for series' 1 through 3 meet total development costs for the line, NECA will then move forward with the tooling for shaw and vickers (the two females would be series 4). So...there's still a small chance that Dr. Shaw may come to fruition. S3 cant be peg warmers and S1 and S2 need to continue to sell a bit. We'll see if things go down that way :dunno

edit: i see sachiel posted a pic of the urn while i was typing. Thanks sachiel. However, just to clarify, holloway is not part of series 3 as of this moment. Just the two holo engineers + urn accessory right now.

:lol:slap:slap:lol :gah:

what is Randy smoking....

the first series of Prometheus did not sell as well as they hoped, and making variants of the engineers is supposed to make a lot of money for them?

:cuckoo::mwaha:mwaha

So both those S3 figures will just be basically colour variants on the S1 figures, no? With maybe a similar clear effect they've done with some Predators?

:exactly: Don't expect to ever see Shaw, Vickers, Fifield, or Holloway released.

Really ****ing lame.

Thanks for the reply guys. Well I've been futzing with my Deacon figure trying out some new poses lately and I've finally found one that keeps him upright. Although not the greatest pose, it still works. I just had to balance him out a bit. I got his arms out I'm front of him acting like counter weights and I bent his head down and to the side a lil'.

Anyways, I have my Hammerpedes displayed flat on the shelf for now. I may have to find some spare clear stands to display them as well. Nice idea Vitus.

As for series 3. I don't think I'll be picking up those holo figures. I'll just wait for series 4. 3 Enigneers are enough for me for the time being. Unless HT actual decides to make him lol.
