This is why the Predators repains (And Kenner series) pissed me off, because I knew repaints were going to lead to something like this.

Don't expect to ever see Shaw, Vickers, Fifield, or Holloway released.

yeah. its very upsetting that shaw is not happening right now (and may not ever). She's all that really matters in the line at this point. However, If series 3 was between the abovementioned 2 figures + a very cool urn/ampule accessory OR absolutely nothing at all (which it was), then ill take these figures all day long.

If neca was smart, they'd throw in the urn/ampule with the holo. chair suit engineer and throw in Holloway's healthy head as the accessory in the holo. pressure suit engineer. That way, they'd be able to carry out the business model they deem financially viable + the fans would get a free/extra figure (holloways body is literally identical to davids body. You'd just need to buy and extra david and throw holloways head on there...done).

That's the thing, People got the engineers, Why would people get the Series 3 Hologram figures?

I mean, I am sure some fans will get them, But I don't really see how there will be that much of a market for Series 3.

If people didn't go for the regular Engineers in the first 2 series, what would make collectors run to the stores to get these ones....

the first series of Prometheus did not sell as well as they hoped, and making variants of the engineers is supposed to make a lot of money for them?

Shaw should have been in series 1, she's the main protaganist. For them to wait for series 3 is pretty idiotic. If I had a guess I would say she will be a SDCC exclusive next year.

Picked up the 2 pack at Gold Coast Supanova yesterday. It's a really nice set, only thing that's stands out is the Engineers undamaged part of his head is really white compared to the dirtied up pressure suit.

No series 2 in Australia yet, so couldn't get The Deacon or David. Thing that struck me was that all sellers at the con had heaps of pressure suit Engineers in stock but you couldn't find a chair suit Engineer anywhere. (Similar thing with the latest wave of Neca Predators that have hit Oz, there were cloaked Falconers everywhere but I couldn't find a masked City Hunter anywhere and picked up one of only two Big Reds I saw at the con). On that evidence I can't see series 3 of the Prometheus line doing well. Chair suit hologram might do okay, but it seems like pressure suit just isn't popular. And, really, how many Engineers do you need? It's not like the Aliens line where you can build a whole swarm up and it looks right.

I bought the 2-pack locally in Australia too. I bought it from a toy fair in Melbourne last month for $50, a terrible price for those in the US but with postage and everything it's a little less than I was looking at when I was planning to buy online. He had $55 and he lowered it when asked. His other NECA figures were $20 - 25, which surprised me. I think that's a pretty good price - a couple of dollars less than I pay when buying from overseas myself.

The seller also had the Pressure Suit version but not the Chair Suit version.

Hah, funny, I paid $50 for the 2 pack too. Got it from the Popcultcha stall. Check out there website, flat rate shipping of $5 Australia wide and free shipping on orders over $100. Prices aren't bad either. Regularly beat eVilBay prices (when you take ridiculous shipping costs into account).

I will buy holo engineers though. Maybe 2 of each. I like the idea.
But I would buy every character from this movie unless they really screwed em up

The cancellation is not official. They want to see how the next series performs, in addition to the remaining inventory of the existing figures.

yeah... there's still a slim chance that we might see Shaw and Vickers. As Kobe stated, its not just about the sales of series 3 (holo engineers). If sales for series 1-3 reach a certain $ threshold, NECA will move forward w tooling for female body. Though I desperately want Shaw, I rather doubt this will happen. People should definitely still purchase the figures they like if they want to see shaw/Vickers. Giving up on the line now only guarantees that we wont see the girls. Assuming the holo engineers actually resemble what was seen in the film, ill be picking them up. Slight chance they might actually be kinda cool. The urn/ampule accessory sounds/looks really cool to me.
