meh...hologram engineer looks about as good as I expected it would. Ill definitely be buying both the pressure suit and the chair suit versions (series 3). In fact, ill prolly buy quite a few just for the urn/ampule accessory. Like Sithfire said, if you want shaw, buy the new engineers...pretty much what it boils down to.
Holloway may be a SDCC exclusive, but neca said they haven't officially decided yet. I imagine that If Holloway doesn't make it as a SDCC exclusive, he's not happening at all.

That's right - and it's this series 3 that - depending on sales - will determine if we ever see a Shaw, Fifield, Vickers or Holloway. If they don't sell well, the line is dead. And that sample teaser they have shown recently of the "frosty" engineer isn't a good sign that these pieces be successfull on the shelves. Like I said before, I'll purcahse them in the hopes to help push the line along but just don't think they will sell very well.

I agree completely. The amount of money wasted producing theee could have went into Shaw and Fifield. Doing this really doesn't make sense:

It's cheap for NECA to produce these, so they hope to get the most money out of them with the least investment.
Clearly, the line did not make enough money for them.

@lord freezer: correct. Series 3 = 2 hologram engineers + urn/ampule as accessory. This has all been confirmed by neca. If Series 3 doesn't sell well, the line will be cancelled.

@sabres: believe me, im very upset that we are not getting Dr. Shaw. However, its not like we are getting the 2 "frosty" engineers instead of Dr. Shaw and Fifield. If Randy Falk is to be believed (and there's no way to know if he's telling the truth or not), we are getting the 2 hologram engineers + urn/ampule instead of NOTHING. Id much rather have Shaw over these two repaints, but id much rather have the two repaints over nothing at all (plus the urn accessory is very cool looking). Im buying the figures because I think they are better than nothing and I really like the accessory. Shaw may be doubtful at this point, but im not going to be one of the collectors driving the final nail into the coffin by refusing to purchase series 3. But again, I totally get your frustration.
