Im surprised so many people liked Rambo 4. I didn't care for it too much. Didn't have that Rambo feel to me.

But I do look forward to the game figure. Definitely getting it. :D

Rambo 4 was a Bloody good time! I saw it in the cinemas with DTS sound and it was pure eargasm:D when the blu ray came out and it had 7.1 HD Audio, I was super excited! Popped the movie In and blasted My Surround sound.......Holy ****!! That 50cal was pure awesome! Also the Sniper rifle shots and the Claymore ****y trap scenes were ESPECTACULAR!!

It'd be a big accessory, but NECA could include the 50 cal gun with a Rambo 4, but at the very least, they could do one figure with the shirt and his bow, arrows, quiver and knife, and then a t-shirt only version with dirt paint apps ont he face and body, claymore, knife.

I still wish we could get an M65 jacket figure from them from First Blood but not likely.

Yeah, two versions from part 4 would be cool, although I wouldn't mind an additional figure from the first 30 minutes wearing the red headband, the blue shirt, with the bow and arrow, a snake, and the gun he used to kill the pirates. If they make a part 4 Rambo, it might be a whole new body, right? He was bigger in part 4. I also wouldn't mind seeing the two villains from part 2, like a two pack with the electric bed/torture machine :lol

The M65 jacket is one of my favorite looks and I thought they would do it, but they didn't. I guess you could make a custom version using the survival body and the head sculpt.

I thought Rambo 4 had a different feel, but I think that was a good thing and it worked for me. However, as soon as I saw the opening scene of Rambo catching the snakes, wearing the red headband, and that classic theme playing, It felt like a Rambo movie. Also, I think the character was still more or less the same, so he wasn't doing anything out of character, but it was a bit strange seeing him look so big because he always looked lean and athletic in the first 3 films, but he still looked good for his age...or any age. The only thing I didn't love about the film was his knife. :lol

Well, I'm a bit bummed out by First Blood Part 2 Rambo. I managed to get one with passable eyes, but the plastic of half the interchangeable hands is so thin that there are actually holes in the centre of the palms over the cavity for the wrist-pegs, and/or stressed plastic around the fingers and palms. The new hip system, similar to what Hasbro's been using on their 4" Marvel movie figures since The Avengers, doesn't seem to work all that well at maintaining friction in the legs (or even keeping the hips in their sockets), and to top it off, the tab that (apparently) holds the trouser overlay to the figure's abdomen is only partially inserted, making the figure look as though his belt has come loose.

Rambo 4 was very much like Rocky Balboa in that it was a nostalgic epilogue to a franchise, catching up with both characters at a point decades later in their lives. Neither I felt were highlights of either franchise but they weren't bad. What didn't make it "feel" like a Rambo movie for me was the absence of Jerry Goldsmith. I know Brian Tyler had incorporated Rambo's "It's a long road" theme into his score, but you can tell it was all done on synthesizers electronically and it didn't have Goldsmith's big epic orchestral fanfare that was a cornerstone of the first 3 films. The other thing that didn't make it feel like a Rambo film was the terrible use of CGI blood that Sly also used in Expendables. That plus the fact that it was shot on DV made it look like a low-budget made-for-cable-TV Rambo film.

I think the best part of Rambo 4 was the ending in which the character came full circle and finally went home. Watching John Rambo make that long walk down the road to his home in Arizona literally gave me goosebumps. It was the perfect way to bookend and close a series that was never supposed to go beyond First Blood in Morrell's novel because Trautman kills him at the end. Now Sly wants to make another film with Rambo Last Blood after he already wrapped everything up nicely and it pretty much negates the entire ending of Rambo 4. Audiences could sorta buy a 60 year Rocky and Rambo but now we are supposed to accept a 70 year old Rambo still kicking ass and taking names? That may have worked for the Expendables but I would have rather seen John Rambo die a heroes death than watch him try to keep defying geriatrics by turning these franchises into a farce. Creed sounds even worse. Just quit while you were ahead and retire comfortably, Sly.

I thought Rambo(4) and Rocky Balboa were both the 2nd best movies of their series behind the originals.

I actually like Rocky Balboa and Rambo 4 best of each franchise. First Blood and Rocky are classics without question and I will defend that they're the better crafted films of their franchises, but, for me the final, well at least until this Rambo 5 talk, films in each series captured all the best elements of all the films before them and rolled them into one and were ultimately the most satisfying experiences for me.

I guess the up side is, maybe with my luck, we'll get a Rambo 4 figure because my luck is I can never get 1 Rambo from every movie in the same scale, it's always 1 short, and so they'd do Rambo 4 NECA but not 5, and I can live with that.

So, I received my NECA Rambo 2 last night. First, I got one of the better painted ones, the eyes look good, the necklace gets thin in places but not bad, body's painted great.

So the positives. To my surprise, NECA sculpted his back scars, they are the first company that has ever done this so bravo for that. The material and color of his body look great, the sculpt on the face is a great Sly portrait, the hair came out fantastic and the use of softer material to help the neck posability. The accessories look great and I love the new arms sculpted with a more faithful musculature than the Rocky or even First Blood figure.

The negatives. NECA continues to screw Rambo fans pumping figures at their "B" quality with another portrait too heavy in translucence for the features to pop unless under extremely contrasting lighting conditions. Now, I know the 2nd First Blood figure was void of this issue, but the original First Blood and now this suffer from it and when everything from the neck down is as good as it is on these, it's a real sting that the portrait falls short. Another negative are a couple areas of inaccuracy that I might not hold against them were it not for other areas of accuracy. The M60 having a strap and no bullet chain coming out as well as the lack of scar on his face are glaring to me when NECA paid attention to him having back scars and including them. I'd trade the back scars to have these other two corrected.

In the end, it's a great overall figure of the character and I'm very glad to have it in my collection.

Congrats on the get, MaulFan! :clap Your Coleco Rambo's in great shape. Mine...is not. :lol

Sadly it's not my original from when I was a kid, but I've had that one since I was like 12, my dad got it from a dealer in Rhode Island, and I've taken really good care of it, I also have the Trautman, I got him from a more local dealer, he's a bit beat up but gotta have Trautman.

NECA has the best headsculpt and scar details, I'd give the best body sculpt to Mirage, I'm a bit disappointed that NECA used the Rocky torso as the basis, I have issues with that, particularly the lat muscles, they just don't seem human enough. I'd give the best skin tone to the Coleco, that looks most like it did in that movie. They all have their pluses, N2 wins for best M60, NECA screwed up adding the strap and excluding a bullet chain, I took one I wasn't using from the First Blood figure. I'm impressed how much the Coleco looks like Sly for a cheap 80s toy and considering the cartoon it's based on doesn't look like Sly. Even Trautman looks like Crenna.

I like how you can complain about accuracy but totally not mention the knife which is iconicly Rambo and it's totally painted wrong :) Anyway, Rambo is definitely one of NECA's B list figures.

Yeah, the Coleco Rambo might be the most overall acurrate Rambo figure :lol It has the face scar and the two small knifes that hide on the back of the belt, not to mention the knife is black :lol

The knife having the wrong color is the one thing that I can't understand :slap And they used the rambo 2 knife on the art work used for the First Blood Rambo figure's box.

Yeah i forgot the knife cuz i put it in the sheath almost right away, definitely a glaring error. Ill repaint it if I ever end up having it out for display.
