This is total BS. Neca had just pissed off everyone who bought one of these. fans hate them for making an all in one for a cheaper price, and scalpers hate them for devalueing their investment. time to sell my original and buy 2-3 of these for the money I will get back, but that's if I can sell it now with this news.

And the massive number of people who missed out now have another chance to get one, and NECA make more profit. Because they're a business, so yeah.

No reason why you can't sell your current one and use the money to get the new one.

They could have just made this all in one ver rather then milk the fans with three freakin versions which I think is the reason alot of fans will be pissed. not pissed about the news, didnt buy one because i wanted to resell it, but with this news I sure am contemplating it.

They could just sell the ones they already got if that was the case. There's no reason to be annoyed - if someone wanted all three and bought them separately, they can sell them and get the three in one if they don't want to display all three at once. It's no biggy.

About 99% certain that the in-game version never had the App. Sci logo which actually makes this one more accurate then yours too, so yea...

The Chell version was $120 MSRP, the P-Body and Atlas exclusives were $140 MSRP. In all cases, they were limited, as the Chell was put out in small numbers to test the waters (and the whole NECA took them down from sites that posted them too early debacle) and the P-Body/Atlas versions were con exclusives and thus scalper-bait. I bet this 3-in-1 will be a much wider release.

Sure, it's great NECA gave people options, but they could just done this in the first place instead of making people pay more and think that these were going to be rare. Granted, I didn't buy mine because I wanted them to be rare or valuable, but I did have to hurry in getting them due to the nature of exclusives and limited items.

really WOW it's no biggy. they can just sell the three on ebay for what?.. 15% more of what they paid for it to cover ebay fee's, and people won't mind paying alot more for them, even tho you can get a new one for a lot cheaper now. so your logic is that if you bought one for say $225 you can sell it for $120 and use that money to buy this new one and not be bothered that you lost about $105 after all that work- it's no biggy in this booming economy with all the cash falling off the money tree's.

Well that's what I'd do, and it'd be no biggy. I also bought several Portal guns to sell on for a profit, which then covers any potential losses. I didn't want a Portal gun, though, so I sold all the ones I bought. But if I hadn't, I'd probably be selling the gun to buy this new one, and wouldn't be bothered about the loss because I basically paid to have it a few months already, and I also covered myself for such losses by selling on multiple guns the moment they went up in value, and before they came down in value due to rereleases.

Alternatively, if I really wanted a colour on my Portal gun, I'd make my own stickers for next to nothing, or I'd have waited to get a coloured one. I also probably wouldn't have leapt for an item NECA called limited, because NECA products are rarely truly limited.

You basically just have to have your wits about you with this kind of thing, and then if you have, you don't feel annoyed at a company wanting to make more profit out of people. If you don't, you stumble along with whatever NECA say and buy all their stuff without properly weighing it all up, and then often regret it. It's down to experience more than anything - the more experienced you are with handling finances and predicting the release schedule and plans of companies, the less likely you are to lose money or regret purchases.
