Dev Patel in Early Talks to Star in Neill Blomkamp's Next Movie (Exclusive)

Chappie is supposedly based on Blomkamp's short film Tetra Vaal from 2004. I remember watching this short among his other short films when he was attached to direct Halo.

Looking forward to this. Neil does some great stuff even though Elysium's story was generic.

Probably due to the budget. The bigger the budget, the more dumbed down it has to be.

They're a South African rave/rap group. I don't care for their music, but their videos are always interesting.

I think Blomkamp going with these two instead of known actors is a great move. Along with Copley, it's sure as hell going to make it hard to understand what they're saying. This movie might need subtitles.
