Give Sharlto a damn credit!
I really hope the "happy ending" to this thing isn't a planets worth of hobos jamming themselves into a space station.

He's not a great screenwriter yet he penned one of the best science fiction films of recent memory.
Considering your inadequate grammar and punctuation, I doubt you've ever been close to anyone in the film industry--let alone one refined enough to have contributed to 'District 9.'
That film is his, through-and-through. In fact, even Peter Jackson went out of his way at last year's Comic Con to point out that he had virtually nothing to do with that movie other than funding it. He completely credits it to Neill. So what incentive would there be to gain from that, smart guy?
As for the 'Elysium' trailer; I couldn't care less how much is shown or wasn't shown. At least it establishes real characters to compliment the spectacular visuals and action. So the guy isn't a competent screenwriter, right? How do you explain the brilliant and hilarious banter being spit back and forth between Max and the parole robot?
You have no idea what you're talking about. You should be banned for trying to spread malice and misinformation about a filmmaker you don't even have the first clue about. You're a cancer to this thread.
Movie looks pretty cool and I like Matt Damon a lot (also enjoyed District 9, as well), but this does seem to be recycling a lot of D9's visual cues (and general story). The ships, authoritarian police/guards, shanty town enviro, etc., could've come straight from D9.I didn't think much of the trailer to be honest. I thought it was very "meh" even though I hate using that term. Just didn't look very interesting to me. Too close to District 9 visually and the story seemed a bit forced (another social Sc-fi analogy). But I will still take a trip to see it when it's released as I thought D9 was great.
First lets get to the easy insults.
English is not my first language yet i manage to be clear enough to make you upset an call me cancer .
Good for you Olbertfrog, (Not for having someone call you Cancer) but I think its awesome when anyone can communicate well enough to be part of a community thats not their native language. I can't, wish I could, I've studied two foreign languages and wouldn't be able to hang in either of them as well as you do.
Okay, thats all I wanted to add, everyone go back to their petty bickering.
