Its not because someone does not fully embrace a director that he's a hater.
If i tought that Neil was a hack i would have put it that way, without precautions.
The guy is gifted but still messy, his got ideas but is still young and is more interested by cool stuff looking cool and making boom than characterization and solid script writing.

Eager to see Blomkamp's first (real) feature film.

You claimed that a 30 million dollar studio funded film, directed by Blomkamp, produced by Peter Jackson, released in over 3,000 theaters wasn't a real first movie. Which doesn't make any sense. So I asked you to eleborate, but I knew you'd pull some kind of "oh but it wasn't his" response, so I knew you were wrong.

Its a real movie but not really/completely Blomkamp's.

Blomkamp has a great eye and a good taste in prod design but he's very immature.
D9 was not supposed to have humor or satire in it originally, not the fake documentary approach wich came later to salvage what was shot. Guess who was close to the production, has this kind or weird humor and shot one of the best fake documentary ever?

I like D9 a lot.
Its a great movie from the mind of several gifted peoples.
Can't wait to see what Blomkamp can do on its own.

You called Neill "immature" and incapable of being a director with something to say, neglecting the fact that he already did so with his short film, Alive in Joburg. And countless others.

I think we know it's because of your attitude more than anything else. Maybe you genuinely have inside information, maybe you don't...but you're coming off as someone who has a grudge against Blomkamp more than anything else. You say you like his work but in a very backhanded way.

Honestly I would like to see the proof. Nothing is more annoying then someone who claims they know something, but when asked to back it up won't do it and they say they shouldn't have to back it up to someone like you. All I am hearing is yadayadayada. Either way I am pumped for this movie. D9 was great so I have high hopes for this. Plus it has Matt Damon which is awesome
