Mine was in a sort facility in Pasadena...I don't know why it went there since I'm supposed to have it delivered across town...=P

Anyone in Los Angeles had one that was sorted out in another city?

arrrgh! I just found out that the Alien is in my neighborhead post office even though I asked HS to send it to my work address!

I'm just worried about its safety! What if there's a desperate person who forgot to give his gal a valentine's present and that packge sitting at my front door starts to look rather tantalizing...thinking it's most likely a well-timed valentines gift for someone!!!

Crappy pics, I know but, I was just too excited to take any decent pics of him. :rotfl

Anyways, RJ and HS did a great job with the new packaging (as you can see) along with shipping him off to me in a timely manner. Arrived in perfect MINT condition, I might add. So impressed w/ Sano's work on this piece. The sculpt and paint looks PERFECT! I paid a pretty penny for this and I must say, that it was well worth the money.

Oh and I'm taking the Sano Chap down and putting the SS 1/4 Big Chap Maquette in his place later on. (To match all my SS pieces) I'm going to make a custom stand for the Sano Chap. I think this piece should stand alone in all it's glory anyways. :wink1:

Awesome!! Congrats on the best scaled Alien piece!

Thanks! I was kinda pessimistic when I was opening the box, lol I was actually expecting to see a broken tail or missing finger or something, but thank goodness he arrived in great condition.

I hope everyone else's Sano Alien arrives mint as well!

Congrats on the safe arrival! And yeah, let's hope that new packaging ensures that everyone gets an undamaged one.

Thanks for the comparison shots. I wanted to see how Sano Chap measured up to that Queen. She's supposed to be 1/4 scale, but she's actually a little small and lands somewhere between 1/4 and 1/5.

Being that the Queen is big enough to have two grown men inside her body, and her little front arms are actually human scale, I figure Sano Chap and my full body Queen (same exact thing as that Sideshow bust but with a complete body) will go nicely together.:yess:

Technically though, Big Chap is supposed to be larger than the average human, so he's still a bit on the small side next to Queenie.

Congrads on everyone who has received theirs! :clap

I opened mine last night and let me say one thing WOW!! most def worth every little penny ( including the high import duties :lol ). HS did an amazing job on the packaging, they padded each corner with the foam that the statue was in and then had light cardboard paper stuffed around it. it was extremely firm.

And when i opened the statue box the statue was in perfect condition. amazing job on the foam surrounding the statue.

The statue itself, what can i say i :love it. the paint app and sculpt is perfect. but i did noticed the paint is not as strong as the promo pics but still they are great. the size for me feels a lot bigger than i expected, think its a great scale.

Will take better pics soon ...

I think this piece should stand alone in all it's glory anyways. :wink1:

I totally agree with you playa, he demands stand alone respect :rock

demorathis i am sure your guy will arrive safe!

I received my normal version...i was surprised at how similar the paint apps were....but mine has a couple of minor defects...the top lip isn't smooth, it's got a tint gauge above one of his teeth....which was probably a bubble....and he.s missing a spur on his sternum (sp?)....:( I didn't even notice out til I started taking pics....

Can't you ask HS to do something about it?:(

My normal version hasn't even landed yet and can't track it either:(

But I received The special version and woa it is so awesome can't even find the words, just the perfect organism!

Congrats guys!
I wish I could get 1 of each version. If anyone is looking to trade PM me.

Here are some pics...

The top lip of my alien has an indentation in it that's rather sharp, so it was either a bubble or a chip before painting...and the 6th spur down on his sternum is gone --- also prior to painting...other than that, it's pristine...the quality is uinbelievable and I can't even express how awesome this thing is....the paint job is very similar to the Special version but all black/grey values - same high quality minus the special colors of Sano-sensei....

The following photos include size comparisons ... Some pics have flash others don't...sorry for the grain...
The first pic is an older one which includes the Marmit, Neca,Tsukuda and XPlussculpt for Sega

Illustrated Defects...

also the post on my base is leaning forward a tad, the statue can still be positioned on it, but I'm worried that the post may cause unnecessary stress on the foot peg and create stress fractures over time...resin / or any plastic resin composite becomes less pliable and more brittle over time as any moisture begins to slowly evaporate, so the less stress on it the better
