I'll be watching, the lack of film HULK stuff is ridiculous. If its 1/4 scale which I doubt consider it purchased. I have a feeling its 1/6 which should still be an impressive size.

Well, the movie itself wasn't a blockbuster.

Just speaking for myself, I would rather see more comic based Hulk stuff (WWH, for example).

The movie was solid, and while it doesn't need to be overmarketed, it certainly could stand to be less undermarketed than it's predecessor. The design of the movie Hulk was cool and it'd be nice to get a few high end, faithful to the design pieces based on it.

Agreed, but you can see why more companies aren't jumping on the bandwagon.

Yes and no. I don't think the movie's success has bearing on products. Hulk fans are Hulk fans and I don't think the movies so-so numbers are indicative that Hulk's design is the problem. I know some Hulk looks are more popular, but I think if you make a kickass looking product, doesn't matter which incarnation it is, it will sell. And I think the movie's numbers reflect more that Hulk movies will always be limited to appeal to Hulk fans but may struggle to get new ones, it's just not a story/character like Iron Man or Batman or Spider-Man, it's more tragic and there's a bigger feeling of loneliness and isolation with it.

I think manufacturer's would do just fine seeling Hulk merch with the movie design, just don't push that it's from the movie, market it as a new Hulk piece where the design is based on the movie and you'll be fine, and don't incorporate the movie Abomination as I know a lot of hardcores hated that.

I agree with that, although I picked up a target exclusive Movie Hulk Marvel Legends figure on clearance. They had a really tough time getting rid of them in fact!

Do you have an image of this figure, I've heard nothing of it but I'm interested.

Hulk toys are peg warmers, but high end collectibles have a market if done right, look at Sideshow's PF. I imagine kids only want so many figures of Hulk, and people like us only care about high end stuff so it leaves the Hasbro pieces on the pegs.

The film isn't at Iron Man or TDK status but Marvel Studios considers it a success, Kevin Feige confirmed that at SDCC, and its outdone its previous attempt. There are still people who think its just a sequel, I was asked yesterday at a meeting. The studio screwed themselves by undermarketing this film.

Not only undermarketing, but they should have had the campaign highlight the fact it's a new story, like "this summer comes and all new take on one of the most famous comic book characters of all time" or something to that effect that stressed it had nothing to do with Ang's film. It definitely needed verbal statements that it's a new take on things because it's not an origin film, so the footage doesn't imply it's not a sequel, it's really like a sequel to a first film that never happened outside of the title sequence, but in a trailer, it definitely came off like the newest adventure of the Hulk with new actors but nothing suggested a reboot of the franchise.

Nice sculpt, nice film "memorabilia"...
But if i want an iconic Hulk, the PF is still the one to have in my opinion.
