Dark color and the placement of the lapels are the big nags for me, I'm not against more accurrate fabric, but at least having the color and pattern to it right is key.

If that were the case though, then to me that would suggest they don't get what collectors want. If I couldn't get the first 2, and Joker dressed as a Cop was my only option left, I wouldn't feel consoled about missing the other 2, I'd be kicking myself even more for missing them.

It's not just that they stuck up a bit but that they were too high on the shoulders though.

Exactly, the lay would be fine if they were in the proper location, even taking off the sport coat doesn't quite get them in the right spot. They're also a hair larger than they ought to be.
Going by the brightened copy of this new CJ picture, the collar looks to be sized and placed properly.

The whole costume, I don't understand what happened but as far as I can see, nothing on the figure in the HT Proto images looked to match the way it all was in Harue's personal in progress images. Harue's work looked perfect, the shirt color, the lapels on the purple coat.

As soon as I saw the original teaser for this Cop Joker I knew I would end up wanting one but now with this new pic I'm not too sure (especially if a whole new regular Joker is included along with a higher price tag). I'm fine and content with a Cop Joker, his rifle, and, even though it's extremely unnecessary, the purple coat with grenades, alternate hands and the alternate head for 150 dollars.
If an all new regular Joker with a price increase is included, I'll be pissed. I paid 300 dollars for two fantastic Hot Toys interpretations of TDK Joker less than a year ago. Sure both of them have their flaws, but what figure doesn't? I thought we got the ultimate TDK Joker by buying the V1 figure and Bank Robber Joker, yet there's still more?
Basically, I don't want my two previous Joker figures to become obsolete, that would really be upsetting to me considering we really just got those. The V1 purple coat and the overall figure is just fine in my opinion. They could have easily included these new accessories (the new head, the jacket, and the hands) with the V1 Joker for the same price, but they didn't. If it's anything more than that I'll be furious.

I'll be happy if they include a smiley head sculpt and the grenade rig and coat, but I don't want anything else for the V1. I want a Cop Joker, but I don't want to have to pay more then a regular figure to get it.

Yeah a new smiling head would be great. I just think it would be a little tasteless and unprofessional on Hot Toys' part if they include more accessories for our V1 Joker or a whole new figure with a higher price tag. Like I previously stated, that would be a major low blow if the two original figures become obsolete.

If it pans out that way, Hot Toys figures will be like MP3 players and other electronics, obsolete as soon as they hit the shelf, provided such case became a precedent and this occurred more in the future.
I'm all for improved things, but it would be nice to not have to worry if better is coming in a few months, I mean it's almost unheard of. I think there was at least a year between Superman figures, maybe someone who followed that knows, you've got 3 years between Batman Begins figures. When there's a clear sign of growth, I'm ok with it. I never had the first HT Begins, but still, that was in HT's early days, it was great for what they could do back then, but this new one is in line with a lot of great strides they've made, and I think that justifies it.
Within a year, and with no real sign of improvements as a company, that's hairy.
I'd like to have a better purple coat and if it's included I'll be happy, but I'll also still be pissed because I really don't feel anything they do like that today would have been beyond their capabilities last year.

I'd be totally pissed, but I'd really like to have the best looking purple suit Joker from TDK I can, and I want the Cop figure so I'll be getting this figure regardless, but if I weren't, and I had to get it for the coat or pay eBay parted out prices, I'd be totally ticked. I haven't seen any strides in tailoring from HT between when the TDK line started and now, so other than rushing into the line to strike while the iron was flaming hot, I don't see why this new jacket couldn't have been the jacket that came with the original figure.
