Here's my deal. First of all this looks to be a Classic Figure. But I simply don't need it. I'm not sure what DX means yet, none of us do, But don't be surprised if they include a head with moveable eyes, something like that to boost the DX cache.

For me, I already have a V1 with V2 head that I love, a BR Joker and will soon have an amazing Nurse Joker Custom with removeable Wig so I don't need this and won't get it. BUT, I'm very curious to see what accessories they include. If there's a Chinese RPG included I'll prolly pick that up. Maybe a few other parted out goodies. As far as the New Coat, don't need it, don't need a grenade rig, but it looks to be a terrific addition. I'm also very curious to see any new Sculpts. If the new Gangster meeting sculpt rocks, I may pick that up, for fun. So, maybe a parted out item or two and that will be it.

As far as price. Wor-Gar is right, NO WAY 150. 2 Figs with Bodies will be at least $200. It all depends on what's included.

If anything I would be 90% sure that we'll see something identical to the Superman/Clark Kent 2-in-1.

I have my fingers crossed that this is the case, then I can proceed with my plan! Because really the jacket isn't the only thing needing improvement with the first outfit, the shirt and tie were not the best either!

We might be overthinking this. What I got from the teaser is that it would come with the grenade rig coat and maybe another Joker head. If it came with those two things then it would be the same as Two-Face and should cost no more than $150.

I am game for a second sculpt with a BIG OLE SMILE. Otherwise all Ledger sculpts look the same and for my money BRJ suits my evil loking Joker needs.

I am curious to see what the new line includes and learn more about what other figures will be included in it

Shot in the dark, but I'm betting the cop joker comes with just the purple coat, grenade rig, and hands as applicable V1 upgrades, maybe a shot gun, but that's it beyond cop joker. This whole DX label seems geared toward upping the ante in tailoring, the police joker sculpt is even receiving mixed reactions.

Hot Toys still wants us to buy the V1 joker for most of the clothes, the BR for the head sculpt, and this for the improved coat/grenade set up. Coming with a better extra sculpt than the BR jokers, and all the clothes but better made than the V1 jokers sounds like it might be too much to take for the people who purchased both those figures to create the 'ultimate joker'.

I don't see HT releasing a whole, updated prurple coat Joker figure so soon, especially considering some retailers still have V1s sitting on the shelves, but I sure like the idea of them adding Joker bits and pieces to other TDK releases. Hopefully all the speculation towards them including a grenade coat and hands with the Cop Joker are true.

Yes but you miss the fact that this is the first MMS DX. Therefore, there must be something over and above what they have done before. So it will certainly be more than just the Cop with additional HS and improved coat.

You could be right, but I what I got from the News Letter is that DX meant upgraded techniques and quality. i.e. better paint apps, better tailoring, better likenesses, etc...

Same here. As far as the v1 goes, were the sockets totally accurrate, I guess not, but you hardly see them so who cares, the pants were fine, the vest (other than use of velcro closure ) is just fine. The only wardrobe things really worth revisiting are the shirt to get the neck to close properly and have a stronger grey/blue tone to it like the Harue proto, and the coat, and easily enough, to use the gimmick of the grenade rig, you can just add the coat with grenades and a new head and a couple new hands in and be add ons to the Cop figure without redoing the entire v1 costume or making this a 2pack.

Time will tell, HT sure like's this cocktease marketing ^^^^ though, they're really pushing it with this figure.

My only nitpick on the V1 is the suit is too dark of purple and the sculpt is very meh.

The only thing keeping my confidence down about this idea is the whole, if you missed out on the first 2 jokers this will make up for it bit, to me, you'd have to have the full v1 costume, even if updated, included with Cop Joker to make that true, otherwise, Cop Joker doesn't make up for missing the other two, it's not a very character specific costume, and having a coat and head doesn't build you the v1 either.

That is a good point to remember. IMO though by saying if you missed out on the last 2 version you may still hope for another implies that this cop version is the meat of what they were talking about, not a possible two-in-one or the upgraded costume accessories.
