No kidding. If it's a new Joker why isn't it the nurse one?
Not a huge fan of the tie on the first one but it's well enough overall for me.The BR head completed it for me.

Anyone ever heard HT say anything about doing a Lucius Fox?

Yulli would sculpt Morgan Freeman's face amazingly.

What are those pants from? They fit the TT very well.

They are generic, I just did a basic "1/6 jeans" search on Ebay and found these. I had to cut off the top waist part because they stuck out WAY too much, it made him look like a 40" waist :D This is also a spare Terminator body so its a tad bulkier than the TT I believe.

I love the Joker and all but like 3 or 4 Jokers and still no Gordon!? That's just ridiculous.

It's reality.

Gordon requires additional rights beyond the TDK license for his likeness, which means effort and money. He's not likely to sell as crazily as Joker and Batman, so that makes him look less like a good idea to HT, and really, if they're not willing to do Gordon, Fox and Alfred aren't happening either. Our best chance, and I'm not sure they even have a license, would be Ra's or Crane from Begins, and even that's very unlikely.

While it sucks seeing more Jokers with the desire to have other characters, that's just how it's going to be.

Best way to look at it is better to at least get more Jokers and maybe a new Batman or Wayne than nothing at all.

Here is the thing, we aren't talking about Sideshow or Hasbro here. The average pricepoint of a MMS figure has always been $150 so saying "3 Jokers for $150 each!??!" really is like saying "3 Hasbro Star Wars for $8.00 each?!?!" Its just the way its been. As for the figures, the "updates" were bonuses really. The first figure "The Joker" was done before the final film edit was completed and inaccurate in many ways despite being a fantastically done figure. The second figure "The Joker in Bank Robber Disguise" included a second head that could be used for the v1 figure but not made specifically for it like the Jack Sparrow release. It also included a gun that was heavily featured in trailers and posters and people were screaming should have been included. This figure "The Joker in Cop Disguise" we aren't sure what's included yet but let's assume the minimum. So the minimum looks like a Jacket with Grenade rig and hand with figure pointing maybe an additional head. These would be the first time the "updates" were included that weren't capable of being used on the original figure. Now if the MMSDX equals automatic 2 in 1s, then we'd be getting a full Joker costume with rig, gloves, shoes and head whereas the Joker costuming is very detailed and would have demanded a higher pricepoint that Harvey or Clark.

When you really look at the game footage Hot Toys hasn't committed a huge sin as many are proclaiming. While its expensive to have "The definitive Joker" because you'd either have to fight on eBay for the pieces or plop down $450 (at minimum because you know DX will be a price increase) to get it but that is our fault for being anal retentive collectors, there are collectors out there who are still happy with their first purchase and have called it done.

:lecture

I think you nailed the reality on the head with that one. If we have the urge to complain about this, we should blame our nature as collectors rather than Hot Toys. This is just an option, not one we are forced to eat the bill, buy and swallow. If you look at the quality of the V1 figure, it is in no way a spit in the face for Hot Toys to be trying to improve the original release, especially if all we get with the cop version is just grenades, gloves, coat, and maybe a sculpt.

Gordon makes sense to me, not Fox and Alfred they would be too boring. But Commissioner Gordon in his swat gear would be awesome.

I would certainly pay $200 for a Gordon with both suit and SWAT outfits. Might as well make it an-all-in-one figure since I don't see Hot Toys making more than one Gordon, if any. Plus including more stuff can help cover up the added costs of Oldman's likeness rights.

And $200 is my guess for Cop Joker as well, unless it has two bodies.

one can never have too many joker versions :) seriously im just so glad were getting ANYTHING HT BATMAN. id lie if i said i didnt want them to do other characters though. then again, im having a blast filling in the blanks with my customs !

can't wait to compare this HT version with the guy from toy-world.
cause i dont see Heath in this HT version :(
the eyes seems off to me.
great tailoring though in the suit
