I for one hope the purple-suited Joker is a separate figure; I didn't want the first release due to the poor headsculpt and wasn't interested in owning a Joker figure that wasn't in his classic outfit. This would be great for me.

Now I can sell my V1 Joker complete because it looks like V3 will have everything he does plus a whole not more! I don't really mind that. HT released a TDK Batman in the same outfit as the BB Batman but with improvements - this is no different.

Even though I (just recently) got V1 Joker, I also hope that this is a re-do, even though I won't buy it. The reason is that, along with the re-upped BB Bats that Darklord Dave notes, this would signify a real precedent, and willingness for re-releasing improved previously released figures. And I don't think we would get many complaints if HT revisited Aliens and Terminator and took another crack at characters from those great films now that they have the ability to produce absolute works of art as toys.

No.. HT previously released a BB version suit. Then they released the BB suit seen in the beginning of TDK before the upgrade to the new suit.

Same exact figure.. just upgraded by HT.

I don't mind repetition. Another purple suit Joker equals another joker for alternative states of dress and posing from the film. I liked the film enough to justify to myself having 2 very similar figures of the same character.

As to upgrades of older figures? Yes I'd be down for that - particularly ones where HT didn't get the actor licenses at the time. I would undoubtedly find uses for their older counterparts - like 'dressed down' colonial marines sans armour etc. Modern HT and Enterbay headsculpts put earlier HT works to absolute shame. Why shouldn't this be addressed?

My question exactly folks, ^ will this be a real TWO in one combo? complete with a whole other v1 joker, revamped like that? or will we just get them as accessories? I am freaken really digging that jacket combo (pleaaaaase be a new head sculpt, with a big ol smile) and yeah, i would hate to have to pick between that and my current v1/BRjoker head combo. What i mean is, i want to display both of them, not have to pick and choose accessories for one. So hopefully, he's a completely sepearate figure?

The purple jacket looks great, more velvet/suedey look and feel, looks weathered and dirtied, but for some reason, still appears to have the real high lapelle/collar things? Also thought they would've fixed up the collar on the undershirt? not to worry, it just better be a damned new head sculpt with a SMILE it has to be, right, right? that's why they covered the mouth? RIGHT? lol, i'm becoming dillusional for a smiling head.

It's alot more of a new figure than a joker with a new head, coat and hands but otherwise almost identical outfit.

The v1 to v2 bb batmans were almost completely different figure, sharing only the belt, some accessories, and the standard ht body. Even the belt was technically different because it has the grapnel gun clip. Otherwise the TDK version was completely new, headsculpt, suit, gauntlets, hands, feet/boots.

So its a much bigger difference, it was a chance for HT to COMPLETLEY revamp figure, not just certain parts like they've been doing with joker bit by bit. Also it should be noted there was a massive gap in time between the two, so its less of a hit to take. People who got the v1 and thought they had enough now faced with maybe buying a whole new version so soon is a bit much. Now just packing a head/coat and hands with the cop joker i can understand, but a completely new regular suit joker as a standalone i think would bite a bit.

not particularly, i have a pair of purple suede shoes, that i leave out for a month at a time next to a pair of regular shoes, and they are always the least dusty of the two, pretty much nothing at all. and easier to clean!

I'm totally baffled why this is not the Nurse Joker figure we all obviously want much more then another normal (or cop for that matter)Joker.

The purple outfit doesn't even look altered in that pic but then again it was so right the first time what more can they do to it?

Not me, I wanted Cop ver. Also this looks like a whole new coat to me. The sleeves look thicker at the cuffs.

You're right - I was looking just at the pic of him behind the glass... in the pic with the cop joker - it is clearly NOT the BR or V1 head.... HMMMM...

Think it could be a modified one, with different fringe and paint scheme.

i said earlier that the coat looks exactly the same. i think the grenade rigging will just attach to the V1 coat somehow.

I strongly feel this is a new coat. The sleeve cuffs look much thicker than my V1.

I missed out on the original V1 Joker, so this is great.

Not for sure, we have no idea what this comes with. May only be the coat.

I highly doubt it, so what, HT are releasing TWO MMS DX and adverising them both at the same time? Imagine they would only advertise their first ever deluxe fig on its own and make a big deal of it.

Cop Joker looks pretty good IMO. I'll definitely be getting him, and as for the other Joker, I don't mind if it's a 2-pack. I'll be getting that one either way, even though I have V1, and BR. Damn you Hot Toys.
