Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!
From the horses mouth...
Amy Pond - female figure being retooled
Tenth Doctor - next release for pre-order in September
Fourth Doctor - early October pre-order
And a few others in the works...
If Ten and Four are as good as Eleven, and I have no reason to think they wouldn't be, then consider them already ordered.
Figured we'd have to get some sort of an announcement next month, didn't expect two so close together though.
As for which Doctors I'd buy, as asked by a fellow collector above - short answer - all of them. Hell, although I doubt they'd ever be made, I'd even buy Cushing and Hurndall (but only after all the others had been done first, of course).
Actually, a Hurndall head sculpt would be a great idea for a head pack, once the First Doctor has been made. I doubt he would have enough widespread collector interest to justify a full release on his own on the high end market (I'm still nervous about some of the official Doctors in that regard to be honest), but a head sculpt release might be a great way to give the option of piecing one together to the hardcore Whovian collectors, without too much risk on Big Chief's part. Still, I imagine we've a long way to go until that bridge is crossed anyway...
I actually think Hartnell would make a nice, fitting release for the 50th anniversary in November next year, but I don't know how practical that would actually be, especialy while they are still building the line's foundations at this stage.
As for who I personally most want to see, not counting Eleven, and the upcoming Ten and Four. For me that's the Second Doctor and the Sixth Doctor, however I'd imagine I'll be waiting quite a while indeed for at least one of those, even if the line does well, is embraced by collectors enough to prove profitable, and has longterm legs. I'd imagine that Colin Baker, right along with Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann, are a lot closer to the bottom of the production list than they are to the top. Although McCoy's role in The Hobbit might give him a nice boost if it is well recieved by fans.
