Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

i thought QMX were doing 1/6 Tardis i might be wrong though.

Wow.
I was looking at thos Scarlet puppets. I might get one.
Now, if BC did a 12" range of Scarlet figures, I'd would be so up for those.

From this year's Comic-Con, allegedly. I have no room for something like that, glorious as it is.

Personally I would find room for it. I love the Doctor Who series but the only doctor I love enough to put in front of a beuty like that is the 10th doctor Dave. Dont really know why I feal so strongly for him but he just personifies the Doctor for me and he would look great closing the Tardis door :panic:

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

If it ever happened then I'd probably only buy one Tardis...whichever version got made first, but I'd be down for a whole bunch of different consoles. Although they'd be pretty expensive, I'd imagine.

I seem to recall Sixteen 12 made a 1:6 scale Tardis and a 1:6 scale console, but like much of their Who plans, they never got them past the prototype stage and into production unfortunately, and they ended up selling the prototypes a couple years back.

Let's see if I can dig out a link. Ah, here we go, if you're curious you can see both archived on their site here, as well as their proposed version of a 1:6 Tom Baker (with interchangable hair/hat).

Wow, that console is a masterpiece! I prefer BC's efforts when it comes to Tom though. A smiling sculpt in an expansion pack is a definite possibility too.

QMX will be fantastic. I can MAKE space for it.

BUT

It will cost way more than I am willing to spend.

Technically speaking it really 'shoudn't' be that expensive as there is'nt really any great engineering involved or any complicated moulds or manufacturing techniquies etc the sound modules are already avalible so there is no reason for the product to unreasonably priced however thats not to say it won't be :( and if whoever makes it decides to rip us off then a curse and pox on them!!

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I say it'll be expensive because QMX is making it. :lecture

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I'd love a tardis console, too! Though at least with a TARDIS exterior, you could kinda say it's any one of the Doctor's TARDIS (since any changes to the exterior have been minor)...

but the console changes greatly. I guess that would limit their profit margin, etc...?

(I personally LOOOOVE 9th/10th console)

It'd be cool if BC sent someone to Gallifrey One convention! (or other "large" DW conventions)

I feel the same way, but I promise there are people that would strongly disagree with this statement. :monkey1

If a 1/6 TARDIS comes out soon, I'm guessing it will be the current 11th Doctor version, which is a shame, since the view of the inside is particularly bad. With the console being off to the side, all we'll get to see are some stairs. Wheeeee!

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I simply could not stand using a 11th Doc police box for any other Doctor. Once you learn the differences in the prop you can never see them as "all basically the same."

Beautiful sneakers.Hurry up 10th doctor pre-order.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Numbers again. Me thinks BC will announce this month, that priority preorders will go live on the 10th of the 10th at 10 am for the 10th Doctor.

Nice photo. What's the lighter blue one third from the left, is it a custom?

Any Tardis would do for me, but you've got to respect the enthusiasts for documenting the differences so well.

I've always wanted a tardis, in any scale, that had more than a card insert to suggest the interior - maybe a corner of the console and a working time rotor.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Thanks. Yeah it's a custom of the Newberry TARDIS which was made by Anzik Hayes. :)

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

The Converses are absolutely gorgeous, but they look like they are a little too white. Maybe it is how the light is hitting them, but Ten's white Converses were the unbleached version of the shoe which has a very slight yellow tinge to the cloth that I'm not seeing in the picture.

Unless you live in a shoe box I don't see how anyone can say they have no room for a TARDIS it's barely bigger than a single figure,

If this post isn't a joke, it's awesome.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Sorry for the off topic, but, can someone link me to some plans for a 1/6 (or full scale) TARDIS? I wouldn't mind having a go at building one.
