I just realized that we've gotten 1 figure from this range since BCS started this thread a year and a half ago. That's pretty lousy.

Well, on the bright side, that's one more high-end 1/6 Who figure than I ever thought we would get.

The Amy Pond figure appears promising. I'm very curious about the female body & design. Ultimately, if the female body design is not worthwhile, I hope the head can be transplanted to a more worthwhile 1:6 female body (i.e. CG 2.0, Triad Toys ALPHA).

With only one figure in the 18 months since I heard about them, yes, one thread is sort of enough :rotfl
However. Next up, Amy, then 10th Doctor.. Etc.
Hopefully, throught 2013, we will see multiple BC threads :yess:
Till then, I agree with the above in that we do have one very good hi end Who figure that is simply the bestest Doctor Who figure out there.

I would have thought one thread for BC figures would be enough until they prove they actually CAN release a second figure....

Well, there's a BCS Who thread, and a BCS Sherlock thread. It's not like we discuss all Hot Toys figures in one thread.

SOP is each figure gets a thread, and I actually prefer it that way. I don't see a 10th Doctor or 4th Doctor thread, so it's kinda much ado about nothing until someone posts one up, which I assume will happen. . . (tomorrow??) when the pre-order goes up. They did say it would pre-order in December, ya??

They didn't say which year though...maybe December 2013? lol

Yeah, they said that, but I wouldn't plan my day around it tomorrow if I were you.

Oh, now you tell me. My whole day has been planned around pre ordering 10 today, at some point. :rotfl

Remember to respect everyone's opinions. It's not trolling, it was a simple observation. Everything doesn't have to be rainbows and lollipops.

In my opinion you are trolling. :D

No one ever said everything needs to be rainbows and lollipops, but your choice of words doesn't need to inflammatory either.

I am glad that this thread is now back open. Let's keep it civil as DLD asked...or it may just get locked off again.

I posted on BCS's FB page that if they could not fulfil their hope to have the PO go live today, they could at least put something up about not being able to do so. I have actually expressed that thought (more-or-less) twice on their FB. I will not do it a third time as I don't want my posts to be completely ignored.

I have written off the PO for this month, it just does not seem realistic to expected it today and out of the blue without the "Special announcement on the 31st" type teasers one might expect. If these were going to start hitting the nets, they would have begun maybe a fortnight ago. That's when I realised that December was going to be pretty much a bust Pre-Order wise.

Also, one figure inside a year and a half. I too can relate. A cracking figure the 11 might be (I think mine is excellent indeed), but that is really not great going. Sadly, as much as I would still want to complete on my PO for my signature Amy figure...I think that she has just become a money trap for BCS the likes of which they will never fully escape or recoup from.

Inflammatory? All I said was that I thought 1 figure in a year and a half is pretty lousy. :dunno I have others that agree with me. :)

I'm not sure New Year's Eve would be a strategically great time to announce something, anyway.

Well, hopefully BCS didn't reinvest in the Amy figure's body without being able to handle it financially.

I think sometimes BCS's ambition outstrips reality, but I'm not too worried at this point. I mean, even the 11th Doctor figures is ridiculously ambitious for a first-time company and they made it happen. And he's amazing! Things have been a bit rough going, but their silence and lack of output could be them just ramping up to let loose when everything is farther along. They tried including us very early in the process with a lot of stuff, and I think that backfired on them. People started getting really impatient. I'm not blaming anyone (myself included!) but I think that' the reality of it.

If BCS are smart, they'd have 10 and 4 pretty far down the path before pre-orders so that a.) the window between pre-order is shorter and b.) that window is also much more definite.

I HOPE that's what's happening. It'd also explain why there's been such a delay even getting the accessory packs up, if they are just holding back until they can lock in a delivery date.

Honestly, I'm not worried about them. They'll have it together soon. I'd rather wait on the pre-order and have a closer release window anyways than pre-order early and have to wait a year for the figure to be in my hands.

And Hot Toys announced Star Wars figures 2 years ago and we've gotten 1 figure and haven't even seen a 2nd. Unlike BCS where at least we've seen 3 figures and parts of a 4th.

Or Triad which announced Dexter 4 years ago, showed something 2 years ago and then disappeared.

Perhaps you're unfamiliar with the 1/6 hobby - this is how it rolls.

It would be great if the PO for 10 was actually really close to the release date and this was the reason for the delay. Wishful thinking I know, but you'd get such a 'figure rush' if they announced it and said 'shipping in February!'.

But they've released a ton of other figures, yes? All BC has to focus on is the Doctor Who license, that's it.
