Closet ones to compare to, if you wish, are Blitzway. They released Scarface and then... nothing for ages. Just last month they announced Carlito from Carlito's Way.

Which also means that they take in substantially less in capital towards R&D. It isn't rocket science.
People make it out like the guys at BCS have zero experience in the figure game, they are working with very talented people who have plenty of experience in the collectible figure business.

We're not talking about experience. We are talking about business capital.

CAPITAL

You can have all the experience in the world, but without sufficient CAPITAL it is very hard to run a business the way you want it to be run.

BC are optimistic guys who share their optimism with their customers. Don't use it against them because you want your plastic doll RIGHT NOW. I would wager they would like to have put Amy on the market by now as well as making 10's PO available to us. But if they can't do that, what does it cost you if they adjust their timestable, readjust it, and then adjust it again?

Most of US (just not the loudest among us) are willing to give BC the slack they need to put out a quality product when the time is right.

Then they shouldn't keep making promises that they later have to break, without so much as a word as to why, as that is just alienating customers/collectors, and adding more fuel to the fire.

I'm a big supporter of theirs, but I'm not a blind one. I'll order any Doctor that goes up (as long as the sculpt is good), and I sincerely hope that they get over the hump and are able to keep this line alive, as it is the one line I'd drop pretty much everything else I collect for if I had to.

That said, they aren't doing themselves any favours in so far as alternating between going dark and saying nothing at all, and every so often popping up and making promises, that ultimately aren't kept, as they then go dark all over again, with no explanation as to why. They should either stay dark until they have something that is absolutely set in stone to announce, or they should take a constant update approach, keeping in touch with fans once a week or whatever (even if that update is that there isn't much to update), but instead they are taking the worst of both approaches and combining them into something that does them no favours whatsoever.

Of course, the upside is that as fickle as collectors are, if the product hits and it is great then that tends to forgive all sins and overshadow everything else, so there's always hope until the doors are closed.

I just went over to the website in the hope that we would see good made of the December preorder for 10. Too much to hope for.
I noticed again that they are giving away free art prints with the 11th Doctor. I hope the freebie is a way to generate interest in the prints, and not to bolster poor sales of 11.

Well I'll agree with you there. While I think their openness with customers has been refreshing compared to other companies, I think they maybe share too much. I personally wouldn't want to announce a preorder/shipping date until it was locked in. Delays happen. But BC are sort if caught between a rock and a hard place with their Internet presence: if they're quiet, people get antsy for news. So they share info (apparently with some prematurity) and ramp up expectations.

No doubt they are even more frustrated then anyone posting here. I'll continue being blindly supportive because it doesn't cost me anything. :)

It's the constant not being able to live up to their word is what bothers me about them. Everything else is great.

That's not true though. They made those statue figures of that Korean band in between the Scarface and Carlito releases. They were not offered to the Western market, but that doesn't mean they were dormant at that time.

Correct. I had forgotten about that since it wasn't published on their website. From their site announcements it was just Scarface and then a year later Carlito.

Just checking in to see if this company is actually ready to earn some of my money yet.........nope.

With Chinese New Year only a few weeks away, and the announcement that Amy will be shipping out then, I think they are waiting to deliver possitive news before plugging a new PO. Or, they planned to have DT do a signature edition, and he hasnt signed yet!!

See how I said I got mine for $160 and free shipping and NOT $170?
Also from Amazon,trusted.
You don't even have any sale feedback reviews.
