Is this off the BC facebook page?

Wookster, thanks for putting those posters up. Do you happen to know if PE's movie daleks are in 1/6 scale (as opposed to being 12")?

BTW I saw a listing for one of the movies just before the Olympics.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Visually (and done right) the 6th Doc would be a very visually stunning addition to any collection. For the CO/UT range he is one of the coolest looking figures.

Indeed! It makes a far better toy than a real-life costume, that's for sure.

I have a box set of the first half-dozen or so Big Finish McGann radio-shows. While he was inoffensive, the writing is atrocious. Of course, I discovered them more recently. I imagine if one were to hear them the first time during the lean in-between years, hunger for anything Who might make one kinder to them.

He was okay in his one actual TV episode, but I'll rank the visual representation of the radio-star towards the bottom of the heap.

I've never listened to the 6 or 7 radio plays. I can't imagine why I would.

I listened to them after the new series was back on. The early ones are a bit rough (as many BF releases were in the early years - a bit hit or miss) but is Chimes of Midnight in there? Chimes of Midnight is one of my favorite Doctor Who stories in any medium along with Spare Parts. If you ever give Big Finish a go, I'd try those. I'm really liking the most recent ranges. There are good ones and bad ones, but overall I've thoroughly enjoyed my subscription for the past few years.

About the fez head - I don't think I'll be getting it as I've never been enamored by the Fex, but the smiling face sculpt is awesome! Though I wonder if these are current pics or not? If they are current, it seems production on these is a ways off.

Fez. Fezs are cool.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

What head is that?

11th Doctor with fez, presumably from one of Big Chief's upcoming expansion packs. I'm very curious to know how much these will cost. Has any other 1/6 manufacturer done something similar?

Yeah - Gilbert and Palitoy!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to spring for another Doctor with what these expansion packs look to be coming with. I wonder if anything from Series 7 will slip into them, like the new coat and hopefully the rest of the attire to make this version.

Alright guys I'm gonna bite. Where is the best place to order this bad boy.

I ordered directly from Big Chief to help support them. I think they get a bigger cut of the profits that way. Plus, I've heard they throw in a bonus destroyed sonic. I just ordered mine yesterday and am already looking out the window for the postman.

It's cheaper at a few US retailers, but I strongly recommend supporting these guys with their first release and ordering direct. It's a quality product and we want this company to do well and keep providing us products like this!

I think its fine to support them by ordering from BigBadToyStore and paying the super low price of $200 :D

Not 100% sure on PE Dalek scale, but I'm sure it's close enough.

I just posted a ton of pics of this figure up on FB ahead of the rview, check out here if you are a FB user- https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3532696284944.2128221.1498405807&type=1

Question on FB...

Where can one get a doctor doll in the states?

Answer from BCS Ltd....

You can either buy directly from our website, or head on over to bigbadtoystore.com, thanks.

These guys could so easily made this a direct-site exclusive only and then there would have been no choice. But they have taken the smart route, knowing that not all buyers will want, nor indeed be in a position to buy direct.

It's clear that they too were customers themselves, and are fully aware of import taxes, local taxes etc that bind up the additional funds of us collectors, above the price of the item itself, and have made it open to as many people as possible.

Whoa! Looking at those photos, it looks as though that one doesn't have the "dirty face" gray colour wash that mine has. I wonder if mine was just a blip, then. Or perhaps it is the lighting. I will take a close up of mine and perhaps you guys can tell me if it looks the same as yours.

Am I the only one that looks at this and really likes it one day and then I am on the fence about the likeness.

You guys that have it in hand what do think?

I REALLY WANT ONE HA HA

The likeness is uncanny. I don't see anything grey or dirty in the paint.

Mine certainly doesn't have a grey face. I'm not gonna lie, it is not quite Hot Toys standard, but it is darned close and can stand alongside any high end collection very comfortably. Sadly my shutterbug skills leave a lot to be desired, but in hand, held alongside and compared to some of my favourites it still manages to look great and impress.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I don't think you have anything to worry about with respect to the likeness. These chaps can sculpt. It is spot on, and I am damned fussy (as you can probably tell).

Interesting to hear that no one else has the grey face thing going on. I am now looking more closely at it, and there is even what appears to be a drip of grey wash going down the side of his face. It has now clouded over and I have no light, but I will take some macro picture as soon as I can so you can tell me if I am being overly picky (quite possibly) or whether the paintwork on mine looks different to yours. Certainly, the paintwork on Wookster's figure is just all over better, in terms of eveness of eyes etc. Anyway, you can decide when I have snapped some shots.
