Re: New Doctor Who Figures?
This. As bcm mentioned, you *can* assemble your own-but trying to find all the bits in an affordable and semi-timely manner is a challenge. Some of the Doctors' clothing can be snagged from existing figures, but much of it is simply too unusual to find off the shelf. And finding people who can sew 1:6 that aren't backlogged into the next decade...mmhmm, good luck with that.
Yeah. My enthusiasm towards classic 1:6 Doctor Who is at an all-time low right now. I've organized/tried organizing quite a few 1:6 Who head commissions over the last two years. Three Who ones from Ada (out of seven dif comissioned heads total), which had a quick turn-around from commission to completion but it was really russian roulette what level of quality you got from her.
Then Chris Howes royally screwed everyone over everyone last year on that front front, and two years later I only have a finished 1:6 Leela, Troughton, and Pertwee for my efforts.
I personally don't want
much for a 1:6 line, but I also don't table scraps for decades either. We are BLESSED to have Barlow being a fan of Doctor Who and offering such amazing heads like Pertwee to us, but understandably, it's on his schedule with thousands of other heads he wants to do, so the Who ouput hasn't been prolfic there either over a year and a half (Pertwee).
The CO figures, which also come out at an agonizingly slow pace, have surpassed our 1:6 efforts though, and at this point has become a lot more satisfying for me because I already have Doctors and baddies from so many eras.
I still have my one lingering Neil Sims 1:6 Revenge Cybermen commission waiting to be finished after more than a year, so that's all I'm aware of on the horizon.
