Nice ideas, maybe now the line is continuing for at least another 3 years some companions may finally get made.

I think that the Brigadier and a Leela/K9 2-pack would be the best ones to start with as the Brig can be used with several different Doctors and anything from the Tom Baker era is a guaranteed good seller especially if it's a scantily clad female like Leela :)

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

That's pretty much all I am going to order as well.

Hawthorne is the head master guy from VotD and Peter is the black dude in a robe whose face becomes a Smiler.

Thanks for refreshing the memory on those, see what I mean about modern characters not staying in my head ;)

I think the Prof, Peter and Hawthorne will be the peg warmers and the Daleks will inevitably be the hot sellers.

It'll be nice to see some figures on supermarket shelves again as I'll save money on postage.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Just ordered myself a 11th doctor sonic screwdriver (which doubles as a real screwdriver) and the 'Eleventh Hour' doctor set from forbiddenplanet.com.
Never had a problem with FP before with my dark knight stuff so im looking forward to owning these, i do want a tardis however but they arnt released on the site untill mid-june.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Nice lineup Marc, I just re-ordered Sly's TARDIS set so with luck I'll have to go and pick up some parcels from the post office with all the newest Classic stuff when I return from my sisters next week.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Colin Baker, for some weird reason, just looks the coolest in the TARDIS doorway. I love it. :lol

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

When I get mine I'll use Tom's TARDIS for Doctors 1-4, Sly's for 5-8 and finally 9 and eventually 11 will have their own.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I cringe at the thought of 1 using 2,3, and 4's TARDIS and also 11 (in proper costume) using 9 and 10's.

What to do about McGann? I figure he can use the 4,5,6, & 7 TARDIS for one week and the RTD TARDIS for the next. Transitional that way. :lol

Not a bad idea on McGann though in all honesty I think I'm still getting over the shock that CO have actually made 2 different Classic versions.

I think if they make another it should definitely be Hartnell's OR the pink version of Sly's from "The Happiness Patrol" :)

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Just got confirmation the following have been dispatched!

1st Doctor from "An Unearthly Child"
4th Doctor/TARDIS
7th Doctor/TARDIS

:yess::yess::yess::yess::yess:

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I have the 7th doctor and the tardis on order now from FP, i have a 5th doctor and the time crash 11th doctors waiting in the collection office. My Pyramids of mars baker and end of time Tennant turned up so im happy. I wonder why CO never bothered giving tennant the same arms they give the other figures? it seems cheap the reuse the same parts from him, end of time Tennant has near identical body to series 2 tennant bar the solid jacket.

Strangely it's never been something that bothered me ;)

I expect the reason was to save money.....there was a rumor going round that said the "End of Time" version was going to have a new body but realistically CO were never going to pay out for a new mold of a Doctor about to depart as their focus was moving towards the new era.

There's been similar rumors about the one in the forthcoming box set of all the Doctors but I think anyone expecting something other than the "End of Time" version minus the scars is going to be disappointed.
