New Hot Toys Terminator Character Poll

You know.. I really want a decent Sarah. Whilst I don't mind joints to a point when the rest of the terminator figures available at the moment can look great Sarah kind of stands out. I'd love to see a Sarah from T1 even to go along with Kyle but I'm 99% sure that would never happen. Maybe a T2 sarah from hot toys ?.
After all the original story is based around her and John wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her too.

Ripley is THE most important character in the entire ALIEN series and she's not being made from the first film.

When I buy a figure I buy it for what it meant to the story of the movie and not how cool it looks visually. It frustrates me but I guess I'm the minority.

I bought the premium format berserker because it looked cool and I do do that now and again yeah but it seems sometimes hot toys will avoid some of the main characters from movies such as the dark knight and this seems to be simply because he isn't visually interesting enough ( or so hot toys think ) for most people to want to buy him. There may be other problems like maybe not being able to get his likeness or something but theres other examples of this with not just hot toys but with sideshow too with there pf line.
Then again maybe in some cases there trying to drag the line out in order to keep it going.

Well, companies have to make decisions by sales and what's worth their effort. Fortunately with 1/6, Sideshow can and does take gambles on the most background of characters, but with HT, for whatever reason, they only see it worth their while to make figures guaranteed to sell in great quantity.

To me , this image just screams Sarah Connor I would buy the whole cast of T2 including John Connor

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere there were updates, but the arms in that shot look even worse than the Sideshow T2 Sarah.

Still don't look great, the joints aren't so much an issue as the thickness.

HT's female body(s) have 2 major flaws, 1) they're too short compared to the males, all the guys are like 6'2" and the females look like 4'11" next to them, and 2) the arms seem sickly thin compared to the rest, which is a shame, the torso, legs, everything is nice about it except the arms, they're so puny, it's ok on fully sleeved figures but otherwise, needs improvement.

Those are my only complaints too Maulfan.... and if they did make T2 Sarah they'd have to produce new arms and torso molds to be way more athletic, Linda was ripped for that role. That would be the only way I'd buy it.

The problem is everyone is voting without reading the forums. "Oh I want T2!", voted, thats it. They're not taking into account that T2 is already winning by a large margin, it doesn't need any more votes - Hot Toys will get the point. I hope that Hot Toys does not assume that too few people would buy T1 figures as a result of this. This is why I set up that other poll asking these very people if they would buy the T1 figures aswell - effectively asking if they could have picked two options would the other one have been T1 T-800?

Stop voting T2 - of course we all want T2 figures from Hot Toys but it no longer needs the votes!!! Vote T1 even if its your second preferance!

Ultimately, I think this poll is BS and almost more a tease at things coming.

HT said 2 more T:S figures were on their way, Connor 2 was an obvious choice as to what else we might get, I'm thinking we actually will get a Reese from T:S.

HT's probably going to dip into all the franchise too, they know they have a cash cow, if the polls serves anything it might be to guage what's most popular and wanted of the remaining films, but not the sole film things will be made from.

You're probably right. They're probably just looking for confirmation of what they'd already presumed rather than expecting to glean new unexpected information about people's wants. Again the fact that the T1 T-800 is even in the poll and is the clear second favourite is very promising. If I didn't think that I'd be going a lot more mental over T2's massive lead despite the fact that it is the no brainer - the village bicycle that every company under the sun has already ridden whilst T1 gets ignored time and time again.
