Both of these are absolutely incredible in detail but $1400 for what appears to be an action figure is tough to swallow.

I have Prime. Its a shameful experience to own it as it is not movie accurate IMO. Calibre admitted to me they have improvised various parts themselves instead of using every parts directly came from computer sculpting. I spent so much because I want to have the statue that produced faithfully base on 3D computer file. Compare with Prime1studios Megatron, Calibre Hasbre figures (only large figure) is way poorer and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Well I imagine Prime1Studio will release an Optimus eventually. I suspect that will blow this one out of the water going off the quality of their Megatron, having said that they are a totally untested commodity and these things are so expensive that your probably better off getting a whole stack of other statues for the price of one of these things, probably with change left over.

I feel for you bro. Hopefully SS or these new guys might finally do some justice to Optimus Prime. Maybe you could sell it down the road when something better comes along? I gotta say, I'm still on the fence on getting a Bumblebee. But I wanna know more before I make up my mind.

The Megatron looks amazing. Now if only I had a way of hiding from my folks the fact that i'm even considering blowing $1800 dollars on one of those Megatrons!

The thing is I can afford one of these babies (if I really stretch it) it's the inevitable buyers remorse after that kills me. I feel like kicking myself when I see my bank balance afterwards. Not to mention the thumping customs duty I have to dish out afterwards.

They increased the price like over night! But, then again, why go for it if it's not accurate? For example, take a look at the hands they have used for Optimus...They look very clumsy. and if I'm not mistaken, the energon swords can only be held and not mounted on the wrist. then there's something wrong with the wrist. These hands would have been awesome on this figure..
