And while we are on the topic of inaccuracies in the Calibre models, I noticed that their Bumblebee seems to be a mash up of the TF2 and TF3 models.

What it is:

I know it's a minor nitpick, but given that the accuracy of these statues is supposed to be a big selling point, it's a bit of a deal breaker for me.

Stomach area is most eye catching but Calibre make it bad. The prominent and biggest mistake is the missing of belly pistons but they charge premium.

From my point of view the upcoming OP product will be officially license by Takara Tomy.. the one thing i found weird about Calibre toy is license by Hasbro in asia market this should be license by takara tomy not Hasbro.. maybe am wrong..

I drop by a lcs today which hve this on display. First impression is that it look like a large toy maybe because of the static pose. Also I was advised that this is quite light which is a put off for me as I expect this to be heavier. Details are much better than Sideshow OP, but SS OP has this wow effect which makes it still the better one in my humble opinion. When first saw SS OP i was blown away by its presence. I hope SS will come out with a updated Optimus Prime!

No. The manufacturer raised the price to where it's at right now.
The lowest I believe is $1,400.

I work in toys industry in Japan I went visite a company from a friend
If you guys are willing to wait another optimus will be reveal during this year pack of features (sorry i cant say anything about it)
far more accurate and also 24inch tall pretty impressive!
should wait for this one!

Calibre toy Optimus is good but the proportion wise way to off from CGI model! and the chest not accurate at all

Wow that sounds awesome! Can you give us an idea of when they'll release it and how much it would cost? Will they be making only Optimus or is there a chance we'll also see Megatron, Sentinel Prime or Bumblebee as well?

They certainly look amazing. Bumblebee more so than Optimus Prime. I still feel their overpriced. $1,100 for OP and $900 for Bee would have been more reasonable imho.

I'm not sure about Optimus, but I still would love to get a Bumbleebee. How's Bee's articulation francsicoliger?

I still think someone will do some g1 versions in the future. That's why I'm taking this very slowly. No need to rush and way over pay.
