I know about the G3 neck adapter but can I just just modify the Slim neck adapter to fit? If so, what do I need to do?

I guess it's been awhile since it's been brought up, but I dealt with many of these same issues when I upgraded my old ESB Medi Fett to a Hot Toys slim TT nearly a year ago after its original body started to crumble. Then, as parts from Sideshow's figure began popping up on Toy Anxiety, Monkey Depot and eBay, I decided to incorporate Sideshow pieces that made an obvious improvement.

Here's the technical breakdown:

Medicom:
– head/helmet
– shoulder pads, chest armor & vest
– neck collar (cut from the original Medicom suit!)
– Wookiee braids
– gauntlets (the Sideshow ones were better detailed but too short)
– codpiece
– knee pads (glued with SSC darts to replace the broken ones)
– boots

Sideshow:
– rifle
– cape
– rocket backpack
– jumpsuit
– utility belt (customized so both pouches have the proper left-sided flaps)
– side holster & pistol
– hands (with trimmed wrist pegs)
– shin tools

Hot Toys:
– slim Truetype body (from Captain America Red Skull figure)
– ankle pegs & feet

bbi:
– G3 neck (the only way I could get that Medicom head to fit onto a Hot Toys body)

Here's a close-up of that bbi neck on the Medicom head:

How much of the wrist pegs need to be snipped off to fit into the TT's forearms:

How I cut the collar off the Medicom jumpsuit (which subsequently had to be sewn shut) to make one that worked with the Sideshow one:

How much of the utility belt needs to be trimmed to fit onto the slim TT's waist:

Finally, how the SSC straps have to be attached to the Medicom back armor to hold the SSC rocket-pack:

Since these photos were taken, I swapped the smaller Medicom boots to use Sideshow's. I didn't want questions to be asked about the rest of Boba's anatomy by looking at his tiny feet!

I know this looks like a lot of work but, looking back on it, it was actually a lot of fun. The hard part was going through all the trial-&-error of what worked and what didn't, but hopefully this will save you guys willing to try this some of that heartache.

That's a damn good looking Boba, It's near enough a half an half between Medicom and Sideshow. Looks great, thanks.

Oh, I know all about your Boba ,PJB. Yours is sort of the inspiration for mine. Looks like Ill have to pick up that BBI neck piece. One thing though, Im not really following the part where you had to cut the neck piece off the suit. Could you explain that a little better?

Excellent tutorial PJB. Tackled all the tricky bits. i will save this post. Thank you. I don't have a boba yet. Is that medicom helmet hollow? Is that grey bit a figure's head or the medicom attachment to the neck?
Thanks again

I was digging around in my parts bin and I remembered I had a necj adapter from an ACE body that's been sitting around for eons. It looks very similar to the BBI neck piece.

I wonder if it will work. This one looks slightly bigger though.

That grey bit is part of the original Medicom head and supposed to be Boba's head stocking. It was factory-glued inside the helmet, but some folks have pulled it out to reveal a totally blank face, in case you were curious.

To Fiend, that neck joint you found may actually work. I had to make a collar out of the old Medicom suit because the SSC one was too puffy and its color mismatched the rest of the jumpsuit. It required some simple sewing by hand, but looks better than anything else I could come up with.
