After having Han and seeing the new bodys in hand i'm confident they will not break like the older ones. Cause if i have one more breakage from Medicom i'm done for life, as much as i like their figures.

When was he released in relation to Mutt?

EDIT: Actually, come to think of it, they'd need to seriously change the anchor points for the legs too, for the pieces to be more durable. Screwing the upper thighs to the buttocks, especially when all leg movement puts all the pressure right there, was a fatal flaw with the earlier bodies.

I saw these, $40 a piece :(, anyone know if the size is true to the older ones? I imagine the massive ones are... bigger - maybe even true 1/6th...

^^x2!

I'm looking for a direct replacement for the first Medicom Boba Fett body.

Here are two sites showing my same issue with the RAH broken leg syndrome:

https://www.custom-workz-charoensap.com/2010/11/12-inch-medicom-rah-spider-man-repair.html

https://littlekidinme.blogspot.com/2009/08/medicom-broken-rah-301-naked-bodies.html

It really is a pain in the butt to implement this fix (or shall we say a screw in the butt? ;-) It took forever and a day to find the right sized screw.

Luckily I am one of those ridiculous people that when I throw anything away, I strip out anything useful... including screws. The screw I used was one of those.

It needs to be just long enough and thin enough to grab onto (and into) the far end of the piece, your best bet would be to remove the existing one and take it to a Lowes / Home Depot type of place and get one a tad bigger. Also, be sure to pose it multiple times before you put all the outfit pieces back on to be sure it took.

The other thing to think of is buying one of those cheaper, less popular Medi's and just take the body for your broken one.

Thank you VERY much for the info!

Yep, when I stripped Fett down I couldn't believe what an awkward joint that was and it breaks right there on that damn post quite a bit apparantly. I am confounded why they did it, as another configuration (a much stronger one) would not have been more complicated nor more expensive...

I don't think there's any reason for SSC to care about what Medicom does anymore. We all know their versions of the Fetts are coming. No temptation at all to pick these up.

None of this will matter of HT gets the SW license as rumored over the last month...

The arms are equally fragile too, with the whole piece mounted similarly to a thin piece of plastic (right on the pressure point) that rotates the "east west" axis of the arm.

Yes, it will still matter, smart guy.

This thread is not about "Which company do you like more?"

It's about the Medicom ROTJ Boba Fett.

So GTFO.

Kthxbye

:lol HT fanboys. I wouldn't worry about that. The HT announcement might be another collaboration, or as another freak pointed out, with HT being the SSC distributor in Asian, just a simple product announcement of what they're importing from Sideshow.

Wish a few other people that are not interested in this figure would do the same.

One of Medicom best, the paint job is almost 3A.:panic:

Great pics as always OMG. Keeping a few SW pieces otherwise, I am dumping (or dumped) all SS and Medi figures. Tough to pass on this amazing piece.

I can see why it's sold out. Looks fantastic. If it comes back up it'll be difficult to pass on even knowing SSC is having one soon.

OMG's pics are sensational! Cheers.

I have the first two Medi Fetts displayed together and they look awesome. My Boba was a gift from the in-laws, organized by my wife, when they went to Hong Kong from Aus for a holiday, so it was a cool surprise.

Anyways, Medi have done a fantastic job on this Boba too.

I'll also keep my Medi's when SS release theirs, they are nice figures.:horror
