We made the nameplate a separate piece, so those of you who don't like it, don't have to display it. If you like it, you can choose which side of the base to mount it on. He can be face forward, sideways, or ass backwards... whatever you like!

Well, the base sold it for me. And my Girlfriend being such a huge Jaws fan... really liked this peice. So add that to the list of cool stuff that my significant other will allow to be displayed in the living room!! lol

Looks like an awesome item to have and I'll be happy to throw down the hard earned dough to have one of my very own!

anyone else find it interesting that girlfriend can accidentally be typed as Girl-fiend? or Grill friend? pretty funny..

Its kinda spooky though... Peter Benchley died on the day this piece was previewed and then Terry Wurmser passes away...

This maquette will definitely serve as a tribute to JAWS and those we lost so recently.

Y'know...I thought the same thing. Pretty odd that it happened that way, but a sobering reminder of the recent loss.

has there been any info released as to whether or not there will be a non-SS Exclusive version w/o the schematics?
was just curious ... and I hope this one is the only one released

I have seen retailers taking orders for the non-exclusive one so yes, there will be a regular one.

I love the exclusive materials included and the improvements on the base. However, I do feel that there could be an extra something added for the exclusive...I just don't know what.

They could add a removable oxygen tank to the mouth of the exclusive. That would be a nice touch. I probably would display it without the tank most of the time, but it would be nice to be able to rotate.

Edit: Actually, now that I look at the way the mouth is positioned, the tank wouldn't stay in there very well without falling out.

Does anyone happen to know how large the blueprints that come with the JAWS maquette are suppose to be?

I called customer service and the person I spoke to wasn't certain but thought they were 8 1/2 x 11. I was hoping they'd be a little more "exciting" than just standard paper sized copies.
