Dude, you guys sound like a big bunch of babies. Sideshow is just tying to appeal to a much larger crowd of people to make them even more popular of a company. Once they are uber popular, they'll get your precious obscure licenses that NOT a hell of a lot of people have heard about. Sure, I would also kill for a license like Blade Runner, but I don't think a HELL of a lot of people would buy it. Sure, most people on this board will, but that's about it I dare say. Bringing out a license like WoW can bring DROVES of people to the Sideshow products. There are over 7 million hardcore warcraft fans out there, and you call this a crappy announcement. YOU guys are lame.

Yep - Blizzard tried to sell WOW figures already.... I believe it didn't really go anywhere. If anything I would have thought that WOW would be suited to the smaller, mass produced, cheaper scale of figures. I honestly don't see too many people buying a PF figure just because it "looks cool" if its not from a licence they are interested in. And I doubt WOW players would be interested in something without articulation.

Hmm, not interested but they still could make for some damn fine statues. The detailing that could go into these would be pretty outstanding but personally it doesn't hold interest.
I wish Sideshow would get back to the classic lines they used to announce. Why not Indiana Jones! I mean now THAT license is a guaranteed success! No more overly obscure lines that wont appeal to the masses Sideshow please (unless of course it appeals to me )

Not interested at all, but for anyone who loves the game I'm happy for them. I'm sure if they Announced Lexx or something people would be mad and I'd be happy as hell. No matter what the announcment was going to be I wasn't going to be mad, I'd either care or I wouldn't, in this case I don't care.

Looks like I might be having to make a choice in the future.... Stick with the 12 inch + scale, or step outside of my preferred scale once more to enjoy the licenses and characters I want (Pirates, Harry Potter)...

Buit with Star Wars (from SSC and MR) and LOTR....I am rather pleased tha tI have no interested in thei new License!....If it was Harry Potter, GI Joe, Stargate....or INDIANA JONES....Well, I would have been more broke than a sailor in port for the weekend!

If I have learned anything from this hobby it is that "if it looks good, people will buy it with no knowledge or love of the character or license".

Metal Gear Solid in PF format would have been 1000 times better.

The WoW line flopped because Blizzard threw some temper tantrums. The figures sold out completely, in fact. but I'm wondering, is Jerry involved with this?

My concern is how many of the 7 million WoW fans world-wide are willing to spend $200 on a statue.
