He is trying to get me to cancel now. Offering me a refund, saying they are not open for business until the 5th. He is trying to get me to say thats too late. Its not obviously.I'm not even going to answer him, but wait until he makes a mistake. He can't say they don't have it in stock because he listed those ridiculous priced ones after I bought mine from him.
Crazy.

Yeah, that's what it feels like. The only collectibles that I can see justifying that kind of immediate price change are extremely rare/hard to get items. I don't know much about this release, but it doesn't seem like it is one of those. Maybe an Asian market only item, and competing Asian sellers just don't realize the popularity in the "West" yet, so they haven't bothered targeting those audiences.

Hey guys - hoping I can make someones day here.

I wanted one of the prop Gizmos for some time but kept holding off and then went into meltdown when I saw them all vanish off ebay.

The GREAT news is that after a bit of hunting I manged to find a store that has A FEW in stock. I made my order yesterday and Gizmo should be with me by tomorow.

I am going to hold off posting any info on the store because whilst I am pretty confident they are legit I have never ordered from them before - the site looks legit, customer service was fantastic and they appear to exhibit at many major conventions and sent Gizmo tracked.

If Gizmo arrives ok then I am more than happy to point you in the right direction - that said any real fans (and I mean people who have been posting in this thread and having probs) who want him please PM me so you can have first pick rather than others who might be lurking here scalping.

The good news is that Gizmo was a VERY reasonable and sensible price.

I sware that I have nothing to do with the potential store - simply am a fellow collector who crapped myself at the thought they had gone and after a bit of research struck gold.

I very much hope I can help another fellow collector here.

It was first thing I thought.

To be honest when I realised he was the only seller left on ebay I was going to buy from him but so glad I didn't and got lucky.

Lets just hope my luck does come in and that I can spread some new year cheer!

As for the ebay seller if you are lurking here your pathetic games just came to an end!!!

Rory, mine seems to be giving similar stories.

Once I had it purchased, he said unfortunately it had just sold on his webstore. Said he should be able to source one but now at $502. The store would be open today to check.
After chasing him today he said he was/is on holiday until tomorrow.

I'm not holding out any hope.

I thought that as well mate, the timing of the eBay sales going crazy was in perfect time to our discussion here. After i posted that youtube review, Well hopefully if they are lurking here they will understand that they will get into serious eBay ____ for what they are doing. The dealers I had the misfortune to deal with were all 100% positive, that will change!

The problem also is that there are people who are willing to pay those prices because it has plenty of money. The best way to combat these practices is simply not buy at any price. The one who pays it he agree to be stolen.
