Great! A useless headsculpt.
So now we're all hoping the unmasked sculpt is proportionately correct (among other things).

No idea. No more info has been shared.

However, there will likely be a left hand skull/spine swapout which would arguably make the strung chest spine trophy redundant.

It would still clearly be missing, thinking like that you might as well just throw a "cloaking" sheet over the whole thing and call it perfect.

I still don't think the head is that big of an issue. The problem with the Predators head is that if you were to put a Bio mask over the top of it's face, its head WOULD be that big. They just had a stunt head/mask in the movie with no face underneath.

For once I'm not fussed about the size, I think it looks bad *** and these will sell out quicker than you can say " the heads too big"

That's absolutely true. The issue, however, is that you don't have to do that here. They made the stunt helmet for that purpose.

They need to keep the proportions of the maquette true to the on-screen predator and let Halloween designers worry about fitting a person inside a predator costume.

Regarding the size of the head, I think it looks fine, and about it being too slim, I thought the same thing, but someone over at statue forum posted a screen grab of the Predator from his right side in the movie, and it looks the same.

Think we need some pics here....

P1 Maq in collecting terms is like top 5 statues of any brand. It's practically Doom on throne.

Depending on what the EX version is, I doubt people are going to have time for in hand review decisions. I mean I'm a pretty good example - stopped collecting a year ago, then this pops up and I'm back.

I don't think the problems on this are very big at all and I'm usually quite picky. I'd fully expect the EX on this to be vapor within a week ( again depending on what it is, if it's something stupid like a name plate then yeah that's a different story).

If this was the SWS P1 and 10 years ago I would say yea, but no chance of that these days. Even if this was a better piece, it would still be up for months before the ES was set then probably a while after that.

Maybe the EX will come with the bloody spine....just hope both reg and EX come with the unmasked head...

Regardless of when the ES is set it's still well before you get the statue.

I'm hoping the spine is the exclusive. Because it would probably mean that the regular comes with both heads so I can buy it locally because I think the blooded spine makes no sense at all with the scene portraied.
To me it looks like the Pred is scanning the area, reminds me of the first scene when Dutch barely escapes and hides in the mud, when the Pred emerges from the water and simply walks around on those tree trunks looking for him. A blooded spine would have worked with the P2 (rooftop trophy scene), but the P1 doesn't wander around holding fresh trophies.

Having a good good look at the statue from new video's pics etc, its a damn shame the issues do stand out, while I think they have learnt allot of problems with the P2 Maquette, the JH has brought up new problems. They solve the bio helmet and dreads problem, then his physical form becomes an issue
