I have the original comiquette, which I love. This one looks really tempting,really digging the pose, but I'll have to wait for the reveal. Really hope they don't remake Venom and Carnage. I definitely wand a Mysterio or Doc Ock next. Green Goblin on the other hand, I definitely want redone. If you're going to make a new Venom, make the Flash Thompson Venom.

The Joker, Batman, and Superman PFs had high edition sizes, and the products came out pretty damn nicely from a QC perspective from what I gather. I wouldn't be worrying about a decrease in quality corresponding with a high edition size.

Was this solely directed towards you, not at all, sorry if you got that. ES on this is being thrown around between at least two sites. And 'most' of those collectors still purchase the regular in lieu of the EX, potentially affecting the resale value just as a high ES item would, I was merely pointing out the contradiction.
I agree with you, I think the more these guys/gals paint the same portrait/piece over and over and over they get bored and lazy and just want to finish. However, QC falls onto another set of hands, who should be sending sub-par paint apps back, regardless of ES.

I just need a Gobby. Never cared for Carnage and I already have the kick ass Venom COM. I hope everyone gets whatever pieces they want in this Spidey line. However, I only have 1 priority and that Green Goblin. He is actually the last villain I need for my 1/4 Marvel collection. Once I have a 1/4 Gobby for my collection, I'm all done with the Marvel villains. I'll have all 6 of my favorite Marvel villains on display. From SSC I'll have the Red Skull, Apoc, and Doom PFs and from XM I'll have Mags and Thanos. All I need now is a bitching 1/4 scale Goblin and I'm good.

No offense Kain but I'm glad you're not in charge, lol!!! Many of us would really love to have a 1/4 Venom that's NOT the comiquette. If they're going to make a new Venom (highly likely), make the Larson/McFarlane Eddie Brock Venom for the win . And Igo already said Venom is his favorite and he's never worked on Venom and wants to...!

Hopefully SS knows that enough people want well done Spidey villains that making a new Venom, etc, doesn't have to take away from visiting villains they haven't done yet...there's room for another GG and Eddie Brock Venom, plus Mysterio, Doc OC, Lizard, Scorpion, etc....and maybe even Flash Thompson Venom, too.

Not trying to convince you of anything, all art is subjective so feel free to hate!

But McFarlane is the modern father of Spider-Man art. Our current depiction of Spider-Man...stringy webs, large eyes, skinny chest symbol with 4 front legs up and 4 back legs down, the crazy poses...all McFarlane. God, McFarlane is AWESOME!
