Finally up for preorder on Popcultcha (Australia) for $719.99. Pricewise, it's at about what I was expecting given other recent preorders.

That's probably as much as you would probably pay ordering directly from as after shipping.
I'd prefer to just order from SS directly coz of the reward points

U.K retailers are priced up around the same as direct prices recently. Although who knows where the exchange rate will be in a years time.

Umm, wouldn't that actually be a negative rather than a positive? As the exchange rate is a moving thing, and if anything the Aussie dollar is expected to go down, not up over the next year.

That is, if you order from an Australian store you more or less lock in the price, but I guess you can get around that if you pay in full more than a year before its availability.

But yes, the EX would be the main reason to get from SS directly.

Aren't the straight reward points better from Popcultcha? 6.67% versus 5% from SS? Of course with Popcultcha you don't get SS's usual monthly coupons etc.

Though I wish you could accumulate Popcultcha points, rather than being forced to use them at $50 max or 10% per order. Though given the number of orders I make I still end up using all the points.

Triple rewards! That must be useful. Essentially 15% off the cost of the initial purchase.

Even with the crappy exchange rate of the Aussie dollar, you would end up paying less or about the same as what popcultcha sells their statues for.
Their rewards program isn't very good, also if I had any problems with the statue I'd prefer to deal with SS directly instead of going through popcultcha.

Ok, looked myself.

It generally appears that older (unless majorly discounted) stock and current stock it's probably much (relative) cheaper to go with the local option.

But with future/preorders it's quite close (lower & higher), dependent on shipping cost/weight/volume etc/current exchange rate/payment method? (Can you use C/C?).
