Check the prototype pics on Sideshow's site. There is no seam there.

Check out the video. He came off in one piece. No seams I'd say. :waveBut, who knows, that may change.

:nono You initially stated to check the pics on SSC's site highlighted above, and as Spidey illustrated the seams were clearly visible.

Think it was Savage who mentioned later change was made after those pics you referenced were posted as seen at the Con.

Now you're saying: "Check the video from the Con"? :slap

Spidey grabbed a preview pic which I wasn't referencing. I went to the PO page for this and if you go there, there is only one picture that shows a seam on his left arm. The others are basically like this.

Which is why I said to check Sideshow's site. Checking the video now just backs that up.

I have no idea what's going on, :lol, but I'm pretty sure the left arm was confirmed as a switchout with Ex web shooting after Alex initially told us the web would just slot in the Reg hand.
So there must be a seam.

I am going to guess the webbing is like the superman pf heat vision eyes and wedges into the empty hole of the web shooter, or the switch out is actually that tiny square pattern of his costume where the web shooter connects.

I think this was originally designed to have those arms removable, so they didn't have to do much to change the web shooting position for the symbionts costume. After they worked it out, I'm sure they looked back at the statue and said, we can glue these arms on, and make it one piece like the fans want.

Of course, this is all a guess based on all of darthchris' photos from sdcc not showing arm/armpit seams on either the red and blue or black spideys.

Also, I'd like to take a second and thank Chris for those photos. They are amazing, and I'm sure he saved a lot of people the trouble of passing on this piece.

Like I said, perhaps there will end up being a seam, but on that statue in the video there is DEFINITELY no seams as he comes off in one piece and it's not like they're worried about one of the arms falling off after picking it up.

.....
So tiny update regarding the exclusive for Spidey. I was informed yesterday that one change has occurred and wanted to pass it along to y'all. The shooting web part of the exclusive that was originally going to just be a piece that plugged in and out of the wrist will now be an entirely switch out forearm with the shooting web permanently attached.

So the Exclusive will include:
Two switch-out portraits (one with squint and one without)
Two switch-out forearms (one with web and one without)
Body
Base

Regular will include:
One portrait without squint (that will detach from piece)
Forearm without web (that will detach from piece)
Body
Base

Oh. Are you guys saying the piece at SDCC could have been the original, unadjusted piece?
