Oh, that's pretty exciting. That's a pretty great prize, especially since his signature runs $100 nowadays...

That's awesome! Where did you meet him recently? He never shows up at any of the conventions around me. Also, what is the process that you went through to get that certificate of authenticty, or did they provide one when you met him?

Hey dw :wave

He actually came to the Hawaii Comic Con last year, of course he was the big ticket name.

The COA was easy, after you got it signed there was a line you can stand in right next to the signing area where you can get it stamped for like $5 and $10 for the COA, something like that.

The whole signing process was like this:

For me it was relatively easy because I bought his VIP package, which means I got first in line for his autograph, but for other people they had to just stand there and wait for him.

You prepaid for his autograph, they give you this card to show you have paid. Then his people let you into this curtained off area so other people can't take pictures of the signings. And people are just waiting in a line that just snakes in this area. And also the signing is really quick, like have it out and ready when you're there. Can't really stay there and talk to him, it's all go go go.

Hey, what's up bransen! That's awesome! That print just skyrocketed in value haha, and it's super cool that they provide the COA right there instead of you having to go thru other channels on your own time. It's a shame you don't get a quick word with him but that's understandable since he's probably there for a short time and they want to get as many people on line as they can. Do some people miss out on meeting him if they didn't get the VIP ticket, like first-come-first-serve since he was probably only their for an hour or two? I wish there was a way to find out which cons he will be attending, because he's missed NYCC the past few years as well as the other local ones.

Yeah, his people already had that stuff all set up, really convenient, it was right next to the CGC guys so I got one of my comics signed by Stan slabbed and graded at 8.5, not bad :lol

And I just was like thanks Stan! :rotfl

He was there for a couple hours a day but it was really tight schedule, like signing for an hour, picture taking for another, and then signing again.

There was VIP panel I went to I have pictures somewhere.

There was a panel for the general audience on the last day but the tickets sold out like 2 hours before the actual panel, so instead I had Mark Bagley do a Spidey sketch for me :lol

I'm 80% sure he has a schedule on his website?

That sounds like a really successful convention run, haha, congrats! :clap

For VIP ticket holders, he signs more than one item? His website is sort of like a blog of various superhero-comicbook-related news, but if there is a schedule posted, I could never find it so I never know where or when he's going to be somewhere. I follow him on the facebook as well but sometimes he does have a post about where he will be soon, but a full schedule would definitely be more convenient and help with travel planning.

It really was, and no, for VIP ticket holders, one picture and a signed item is included. I actually bought one more signature from him :lol

Ok, was I the only one that thought the statue was going to get signed by Stan Lee. Didn't realize it was a print that was getting signed.

Come on guys, you only have to go back one page here...

I don't think you understand what we are saying. We are not confused about the signed print bransen posted on the previous page. We know that's from his personal collection. We are talking more about what Alex said in her post (requoted below):

It hasn't been 100% decided how they will be doled out but they will be after all pieces have been shipped out since these are coming in batches. We will either have a list compiled and have random people chosen to receive the signed item. Or we'll create a hidden contest page (since that majority of folks have no idea about this special item), send an email to everyone that purchased the Spidey PF, have them enter if they are interested in being one of the randomly chosen folks to receive the signed item (final randomly picked winners would be cross referenced with the list of those that purchased to ensure only those receiving the Stan Lee signed item are actual purchasers). Even when contest pages are hidden people still find them (or others post links on forums/social groups), so we'd cross reference the purchasers list to ensure the right folks randomly chosen are within that group.

This post makes it sound like the signed "items" are going to be doled out after all the statues have been shipped. But like izeroi said, we thought a few signed statues were going to be randomly shipped out to customers. If this is done after all the statues are shipped, then does that mean a few lucky customers are going to have two statues ...one signed and one un-signed? No, it sounds like they will be giving out a few signed Spider-Man prints to a few lucky Spider-Man PF owners. But that's the confusion right there ...we thought they were going to give away signed Spider-Man PFs not signed Spider-Man prints.

If you watched the video when this was originally stated they are talking about prints. Originally they were talking about putting the prints in the box with the statue. But never was it said or even implied statues were being signed.

They stated it was prints very clearly from the begining.

You both are absolutely right. Alex's post confirms that it will be signed prints rather than signed statues. I'm not going to argue against that.

But there were some confusion by some ...including myself ...where we thought SSC was giving away a few signed PFs. For me, it was because I was watching Stan sign one of the PFs that made me think that. And in my excitement I locked on to that thought ...never realizing otherwise. No biggie, tho. We all make mistakes. Its clear now. If I get one of the signed prints, I'll be happy ...if not, I won't be disappointed too much.

Well I think its still going to be cool because I believe the spider-man prints are based off the art for the PF. That will make special and add to the statue.

Who gives if it's signed statue or print? I bet none of you purchased the statue in the first place knowing that.
Just be grateful there's a "chance" of one of you receiving a little something special. Jeez
