I am working on a besta background for this statue. What do you think?

Just placed my order for him with 10% off.

Just as a side note, I was going to pre order the Iron Studios Spider-man. The reason why I passed was because right now I'm a little sour with Iron Studios for not properly disclosing the edition size of their statues. If I would have known they have the right to recast for special distributors after initial runs then I would have waited until all runs are out there causing the market to saturate a little, then buy when prices stabilize.

So Sideshow you have won this battle by creating a nice representation of Spider-man in 1/4 scale for less than half the price of a competing vendor.
Thank you

Bit like a company stating they would set a firm ES one month after pre-order went up.
Then still not announcing anything three months later.

I'd get this if I had somewhere to put it :(

So i noticed something on the floor in front of my desk that Spider Man is on and I added a photo for you to see.

When I assembled Spidey I remember a sound of something small falling to the floor but I could not find anything. I looked at the statue pretty closley and everything looks perfect.

Now that I found what fell out of the white cover the body was in when I assembled him I am looking over Spidey trying to see if this is from the body. I cannot find anywhere that this piece resembles other then one of the spider legs on his chest. None of the legs are missing so I have no idea what this piece is or why it was in the wrapping.

The only thing I found slightly wrong with the statue is on the sole of his right foot. The black outline is not perfectly drawn around the whole sole of the foot. It is so minor and unnoticeable I don't think it is worth switching the body for.

The only thing I am concerned about is what this little black piece is for and why it was loose in the wrapping. by the way it looks big in the photo but it is only 1 inch long and about 2mm thick.

What do you guys think?

Actually, he is 64cm which should just fit if you let the arm stuck out right? I think that would even increase the effect of everything coming at you

Last thing you want is delicate fingers sticking out your Besta.
Would also look cramped unless you move a shelf.

I'm only left with square display space after using the two ends of my cabinet for larger pieces.

Here is a better picture for size reference.

You could just buy a stuva. Same as besta but 50cm deep :)

I'm guessing he already has a Besta as he said he's making a background for it.
Depth isn't the issue with this piece, it's the height.

Still needs more than the standard square display space which I, unfortunately, don't have.

What type of material is it?

Looks tiny and if you can't find any issue with the statue I wouldn't worry.
Now if it was a Predator that would be the dreaded broken Dread.

you can pick it up and it has a bit of flex but you can defiantly break it. It almost feels like thick paint. It defiantly seems to be one of the legs on the chest but as I mentioned the ones on the statue are perfect.

The only thing i did not check was the bottom under the base. When I looked at the bottom before I placed the base on the table I remember it all being smooth and looking fine. It has a spider man web art on it.

I really don't want to lift up the statue with Spidey still on it and as I mentioned before I do not want to remove Spidey unless I need to.

I am going to wait to see what Sideshow says.

Psylocke,

Is this piece difficult to disassemble? The only reason I ask is because at the moment, I only take out my pieces to check for issues, take photos and then put back in the box.

Thank you!

Not my pics, but from another member. I'm personally still waiting for my Captain America to arrive this week. I just wish they would have let people know that they have the right to release other batches to other vendors. This doesn't mean I will not buy Iron Studios statues, this means the pressure of getting a low ES in the first round is no longer there, and for a possible chance to get the statue at a lower price down the road.

Wow, that's crazy. I think that's the first I've seen of that.
