Hah, trudat. I think only those of us with actual leaning SSC statues have these concerns. It's pretty damn legitimate though. Once a statue leans, you are pretty much screwed. You can't sell it, you can't really fix it without resculpting portions of the statue which also means a complete repaint in those areas. Granted I'm not going to pass on anything that I really want but still, it's a big concern of mine anyway. I already have a couple leaning statues that I really can't do much about. By the time they lean, they are sold out and SSC won't help you. I angle my statues to be "upright" but it's a hack at best. I just hope they take measures to prevent potential leaning.
What statues are leaning?

I've seen polystone in the same configuration before. Hardhero daredevil was only anchored by one arm

Cool. Statue looks beautiful, would love it if the material was top-quality too. Can't wait for more details on Tuesday regarding pricing, etc.

I basically have 2 that lean but one is pretty minor. The major one is my Cyclops PF...he is really leaning bad. I sent some pics to a custom painter on here and he told me there was nothing he could do short of redoing the legs from scratch which would cost more than buying an EX off ebay. So I had to slide a couple door stopper under him to "straighten" him out for display. It sucks but what can you do. But once you get one situation like this, it just makes you a little ancy about pieces that could potentially lean.

But if you think about it, cyclops on standing nearly up right on two legs, so if he can lean anything even up right pieces can. But more often than not statues stay up right.

Can't blame you, ever since I read the leaning issues with Gwen Stacy Comiquette and saw pics posted it's at the back of my mind when I view the piece.

I agree...it is probably a freak situation. Still makes me nervous. I feel reassured when they seem solid and straight though:lol Again, not going to prevent me from ordering this...unless the price is crazy high.

Agreed, i stayed away from Darksied and the arkham pfs, they're tempting but this thing looks awesome. A classic Spidey vaulting over a building?!? Shut up and take my money!

That's what I mean! There's some temptation in places...like, "Oh, that looks pretty cool!" or "Oh man, that'd be nice to have," but with prices how they are these days, that just won't do. It's reactions like the one you get when you see this and go, "Holy crap...that's Spider-Man! That's him embodied in a statue!" that mean you take the plunge. Or at least heavily weigh your options when it comes to getting it!

I think I may cancel my Superman Art Print (unframed) and put the money towards this. This is the kind of nagging at me feeling I had while I debated Machiko due to costs. The kind that keeps you coming back, and the kind that means odds are you'd regret not making the order in the end!

Doesn't appear there can be a rod running the length of the right arm. Looks like there's a seam at the shoulder where the shoulder and arm connect. Interchangeable part?

Igo confirmed there is an EX. And it's two new parts! I'm excited...

From Igo over at the other board:

There is an ex, and it's two new parts, not just one… WHAT WHAT!?!

And we've had tons of meetings with production about making sure there's a long solid metal something going through that arm to help with the lean, we will see…

I cant blame people for saying they want to wait for in hands because of that and paint, it's hard to get it right, and you guys have every right to wait till it's proven to hand over your money for it.

Two switch out Ex parts and the arm will be reinforced.
Confirmed by Igo :D

Awesome...okay, so two switch out parts...one is the webbing hand, and the other...any guesses? Are they both hands? That'd likely make the most sense.

Maybe snapping a picture with a camera?

I like that sort of honesty! :1-1:

Can't think what else could switch out. Two different hands may be a good call but only being able to use one at a time could be a strange choice.

Well, it'd just give you the option to use no webbing, webbing or something else. But yeah, it could totally be something on the base!

I just keep looking at the statue, and I can't see anywhere else -- aside from the extended hand -- that would be removable! Bottom half wouldn't make sense...unmasked COULD be a thing, but I highly doubt it, as that all looks connected -- and he really wouldn't be jumping around with no mask on. :lol

So other than something that connects to the base, then I'd say something else in the hand would be likely. I mean, look at the Arkham EX pieces...sometimes they're fairly simple. It could be a camera (which would probably be the most complex) or it could be just a clenched fist?
