New Wonder Woman TV Series...

I actually like it a lot - kind of inspired by her new costume in the comics. I think with red boots it wouldn't work as well.

However I like how movie makers think about the practicality of the costumes in the real world like in X-Men, Batman and Iron Man. What is the functionality of this outfit?

Just saw the new costume preview. First fanboy reaction...ummm...I don't know. Waist up isn't bad. It's kinda hard to beat Lynda Carter's costume though. It's kinda the iconic Wonder Woman look. The comics, animated series, Alex Ross, Hughes all pretty much stuck with it. I mean with what skin they show on most shows today I find it weird that they have her in leather pants like that. (Unless it's a practical reason for stunts however the corset top kinda dismisses that theory.) Hopefully the show will be more engaging story wise than the original. I'll be interested to see it when it comes out.

She's pretty tall, close to 6 feet from what I've read.

I like it, DC has said that they are sticking with the pants in the comic, so figure they would do the same on the show.

It's a picture taken in a brightly lite white room, I'd imagine everything would look shiney, I'd venture a guess they would tone it down somewhat in the editing.

Dunno, Dan DiDio spoke at the C2E2 convention and said the pants are sticking around after the revision but take it with a grain of salt since stuff in comics changes daily.

I really don't mind the pants.

I kind of like it...I think Adrianne Palicki is incredibly beautiful and perfect for the role...I had her in mind for a while quite ironically..

Two Mods:

#1 - Red Boots

#2 - Red Boots + Darker Blue For The Pants

Personally I think #2 looks best.

Oh and in case no one has noticed: There is stars on the pants. They're gold (same size as the red star on the belt) and run along both sides of the hip, from the waist down to the knee.

If they're going to move away from the comic book costume I wish they would go for something that looked functional. I'd like to see the WW equivalent of TDK complex suit. Make her look formidable. High heals? They kept those?

I'm not so bothered they covered her legs. But it all looks so f'n low budget. Pleather with vacuum formed hood ornaments.

I dunno, I like the current comics costume, but it doesn't look right here in living color. I wonder if when they said the TV show costume was designed by Lee, they meant that he sketched up a concept specifically for the show, or if the TV show guys based their new design off of the current comic costume by Lee.
