Would agree. blue is to dark, chest emblem too small and don't see the likeness that much, at least in those small pics.

From this angle it looks like Christopher Reeve. However it boggles the mind why they can't get his likeness at 100% since they have so many pictures of him from all sorts of angles?

Now from this angle, it looks nothing like Chris Reeve at all. They really need to work on his face from the front now that they have the profile dimensions accurate.

Also Chris's face was never that shiny..Look at my avatar pic and you get a good sense of how he should look.

The suit and body look great, that head though and the expression is reminding me of Evil Superman from Superman III.

That's what I was thinking. They missed the intense and landed on pissed. They really should powder that man before they shoot them. Who are their photographers?

Having seen it in person, the likeness is dead-on. But some people have problems with Cap'n Jack likeness too, and that boggles the mind.

It's the costume on this one that I have a problem with.

I liked what I saw in pics from the SDCC better than the pics being released now. Before I was really thinking hard about shelling out all that cash for a good Superman PF. Now, not so much.

I'd rather one positive comment from someone who's seen it for themselves, than 100 negative from those that have not.

Dave, based on the new pictures, would you say it's changed much from what you saw last July?

I thought the likeness was spot on myself when I saw it at SDCC.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Supes turns out really great in person.Cinemaquettes always do,well, except for Bruce. :monkey2
And yes,Sparrow's likeness is incredibly good!

Well - I think it really is in the eye of the beholder. Several people told me that the CM Indy was superb in person so I took the plunge and purchased one. I had it out of the box for 30 minutes and then put it all back in. It was really a very poor attempt.

I've seen the Jack Sparrow in person and while the sculpted portrait itself was very good, the finishing of the painted eyes, "make-up" and hair was very poor. I don't want to take the risk of getting a crappy one when the price is high. CM should up their quality control and make sure every piece that goes out for distribution is top notch.

I'm not bashing CM - I REALLY wanted to get this Reeve Superman. I'm just really disappointed that they haven't given enough attention to all the details of the costume and the likeness which just isn't the 26 year old Chris Reeve that I see when I watch Superman the Movie.

I would love to have this in my collection. Although I understand the complaints on the suit, I like this blue better....It looks like how Superman looks in my head....What a perfect mash of the movies and comics.
