I'm sorry that does NOT look like Christopher Reeve.

i will have to agree with you there , that picture is not a good take, silicone is too shiny, and yes, it does not really look like reeve there but there are other pics that capture the likeness, and im confident that this piece in hand, will look amazing

Also reserving judgement until I see in-hand pics but I have to say despite all the good and noble intentions I like the box more than anything.

I'm also amazed anything good came from that sumo-like concept art. If you want Reeve in flight there are many more configurations that would have rendered beautifully in 3D - what we have is Superman landing and in a slightly camp way which Reeve never did.

Bizarre when you think of all the iconic poses from all the STM NY publicity shoots (pointing at the sky/raised fist/hands on hips, etc.) that such a design was approved.

i agree with you there my friend, that is why i will be cutomizing mine :yess:

I agree with the comment about the color.

The Superman movies were on the AMC channel the other week and the costume is much bluer than what it looks like today, which is faded.

I think they hit the color.

This is going to be awesome.

The color comes off differently whether it's in the film or in person and I'd agree that the CM color is closer to what's in the film than what's in person or in publicity shots. It would seem the film was color-corrected but the publicity shots were not.

But I'll see if I can live with it when it arrives next month...

Excellent news! Simply cannot wait for this..its going to be AMAZING! Do post lots of pics and your impressions Dave

I love CM and I have owned the T-850, T-800 and still own the predator but this is so damn ugly. And it was delayed by 3 months. LOL

Yikes, looks like it lost a lot from prototype to production. The eyes do look bad and the caterpillar eyebrows aren't helping.

Is Superman supposed to sweat that much?

That is apalling. Seriously - I think CM should refund everyone's money and cancel this. How on earth did it get past the Reeve Foundation's approval?
It's a huge disappointment and I am very glad that I didn't order one of these.

I like it.

Some angles don't look as good, but others look spot on. Don't forget you have a digital camera zoomed right into his face, I don't think anyones going to get that close.

It'd be nice to see him next to some other Cinemaquette statues.
