I'm really excited to get the Part 2 flying Delorean myself but it's absolutely absurd how random Hot Toys is when you think about what they just did. They previewed that version like 8 years ago and did nothing with it even after releasing the part 2 figures. Then just this fall out of nowhere they finally make the part 3 figures that BTTF fans really wanted and they preview the part 3 car. They do nothing with the car for months, then randomly "go back in time" and release the part 2 car. Literally WTF?

All that being said today is a happy day, at least for me it is. Howard how about you lose your damn mind again next week and make the Death Star Trooper?
You do really have to wonder how they decide what to release and when to release it. What triggered the release of the Part 2 Delorean? Is there something that was finally "ready"? The lack of timely releases for things that would sell while the property is hot but won't sell later seems like HT leaving a lot of money on the table.

Just imagine, we're all trying to predict HT's moves based on current movies and shows, and they'll end up doing a Colin Farrell Penguin before a Cad Bane or Defender Strange. Then a random Hawkman will come out of nowhere and people will still be waiting for General Kenobi...

People's brains trying to predict HT's patterns:

I believe, most likely, because Joost was about to complete a licensed deal for a 1/6 Delorean from part II and III. HT’s been having the the design ready for a long time now and just when they see some minor competition (echo chamber mostly…..), they strike with their own vehicle.

They didn’t bother with the falcon cockpit, wonder why.

I'm going to assume that HT probably had to gauge the pre-order numbers for Marty and Doc and see if it was worth it to make the car. This thing is expensive and they'll want to see if it was worth their time.

After 5 months, safe to say they were happy with the initial pre-orders for these guys.

Yeah that's true, I didn't think about that. Joost posted a video saying they were in negotiations and then went radio silence and then boom, HT deloreon. Nanjin from EXO-6 basically claimed a long while ago that the only reason HT did a Pennywise figure was because of what QMx put together for the It chapter 1 figure that never came out.

I have PTSD from never getting the Death Star trooper.

Part 2 car doesn't make sense with the part 3 figures though.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but the Loki series and Hawkeye series have been behind on their releases. What If...? ended up fine and Fennec was essentially from Mando. Still nothing else from Boba. Makes you wonder if HT will wait until after D+ series' end to release figures from here on out, unless some Fennec situation comes along.

Nite Owls and now this BTTF Delorean are rather long and odd timing on releasing.

I think HT has delays on the head sculpts. Gamorrean Guards, Krrsantan and Bane are not their usual human face sculpts so we shall see. Hasbro don't have BoBF figures out besides the usual pair so maybe none of the manufactures have enough data.

I think HT Japan has the BTTF event at their 3rd store at the moment. They announced the BTTF figures for the 1st store event, none at the 2nd store so it's good that they announce the Delorean for the last store event.

Did not know that.
