Most figures from D+ series get announced/revealed after show ends. Not expecting any Andor related reveal for another month or two... unless Hot Toys want to push yet another trooper variant on us.

Yeah, considering their release pattern with the Disney+ shows, these next 6-8 weeks would be the window for AOTC Wave 2…

NYCC is just over two weeks away, if we don’t see something new from AOTC there I think we can chalk up wave 2 as just another Hot Toys failure.

Star Wars just doesn’t feel like a priority for them anymore. Yes, there’s still releases but they’ve doubled down on troopers and helmets figures for two years now. Considering they still need to get to Bad Batch and Andor this year it’s tough to imagine they’ll get to more than one more figure from one of those lines.

Marvel is their first, second and third priority. They throw other franchises a bone every now and then - often, a thinly-veiled reissue bone at that - but its Marvel alla time, uber alles cant stop wont stop aint gonna be stoppin no time soon.

The problem is, Star Wars is just not popular in Asia, with exception to Japan. I doubt he comes to the Star Wars threads much, but over in the video game section, R_R_X has talked about how these companies are very focused on what sells well in Asia (particularly China) these days.

I've been clamoring for LIM to make Uncharted figures for a while, and we're finally getting them to make Nathan which is incredible, but R_R_X said the team was really hesitant to go through with it because Uncharted just isn't popular over there. That's why they're unwilling to make Sully and Chloe until they see how Nate sells overall.

Unfortunately, Hot Toys is probably so focused on what sells at home that they probably don't care as much about how Star Wars stuff sells elsewhere. Howard loves Star Wars and that's why we get what we get, but if he didn't, would we have as much as we do? Hard to say. Just very confusing that they don't try and capitalize more on the sales that Star Wars undoubtably brings them despite needing to go to North America/Europe for those sales.

Last Hot Toys release was August 23rd, the Cable figure. Things seem to have come to a screeching halt over there. I know people got charged for Echo, so hopefully there’s just a wave of simultaneous releases coming.

yeah i imagine / hope this will be a situation where we suddenly have an influx of releases, like we did at the beginning of the summer with anakin, jango, moff gideon, snowspeeder luke, etc etc.

i could see us suddenly getting the rest of the mando s2 figs and both bad batch within a few weeks of each other back to back to back.

no idea how things work over there but always seems like pipeline is clogged before a bunch of releases… not to mention how many figures are due/overdue right now.

i guess we’ll have to see. ive said before, another one of these “coming soon” pictures would go a long way to put people at ease:

They should capitalize on the premiere of Andor and release the rogue 1 version.

Then put up the Disney + version around the season finale so as not to spoil any accessories.

Bad batch pushed back and not much figures expected for Andor, it really is time for ATOC or never.

And then we have to remember that RoTJ 40th is coming up, so we likely have three maybe four figures coming from that. Two likely re-releases MAYBE two new. I'd expect Jedi Luke re-release possibly, though we'll have the Mando Luke by then. Maybe they'll re-release Endor Leia . Maybe they'll shrink down their Vader 1/4 (which I wouldn't mind having the Sebastian Shaw HS). Maybe they're re-release Palps. or maybe it's gonna be an R2-D2 re-release. Or even easier, Royal Guards! (Which I honestly wouldn't mind ). MAYBE they'll do Han with his Endor trench coat. Ya know, since we've all been asking for Bespin Han. Or maybe they'll do Leia in her Ewok Village dress. Maybe it's the Max Rebo Band. Maybe they do a Endor Luke on Speeder...that seems very hot toys. Take two existing releases and mash them together for another "new" release

Orrrrr maybe they get crazy and we get a Bib Fortuna. Maybe they take on SS and put out an epic Jabba. Or Lando in Disguise. Hell, they may even end up giving us a Rancor! Or Threepio! Maybe Oola! Or a Gamorrean Guard! General Calrissian? Nien Nunb? Leia Boushh???? Or....maybe....dare I even say it?...no..I can't....BUT I MUST! SLAVE LEIA???!!!! ahem....excuse me...I mean Leia (Hutt Slayer)....

I think we'll get at least ROTJ Fett and Palpatine as re-releases next year, I would say Luke, but were gonna have a lot of Luke's out by then, and Mando Luke will just be getting in-stock and still be available.

Think it is safe to compare it to what they did with ESB in 2020, a few new figures, along with the re-releases of characters that sell.

Hell it looks like it may be awhile before we even see a trooper in this show, which may be a first for SW. Of course I know that probably wouldn't stop HT from releasing one anyway. Lol

ROTJ 40th will be General Calrissian with a re-used head sculpt, a re-issued Boba and stormtrooper and maybe a new R2-D2.

As much as I’d love something new like Admiral Ackbar, Wedge Antilles, Admiral Piett or even Mon Mothma, Hot Toys is just too lazy with Star Wars now.

Maybe if Marvel continues to die off we’ll finally get thrown a bone.
