1/6 NEXT Hot Toys STAR WARS Figure...?

This series wasn’t even a pipe dream when RO was released. Hot toys just has to screw with us and not release characters that either complete a line, a pair, of just make sense. I’m sure they will make a cassian at some point, it it will probably from this series and not the one we want from RO. I have zero faith in hot toys at this point releasing characters I want.

For sure, we need a Tie Fighter Pilot. Did HT ever make one? I think Sideshow did.

Hot Toys never made a TIE pilot, no. Kind of startling since we've seen them on screen so many times. Even if it's under the Andor banner, I would welcome a TIE pilot figure.

All quiet here. We really need a blockbuster announcement soon. I used to wonder where all of the guys from flosi’s cantina went, but now I know. They got bored with the hobby. This thread was far down the second page, I forgot about it.

With Black Panther out and Andor running for another month, we're likely heading into a Star Wars free announcement spell. It will be all about MCU and possibly another Black Adam reveal.

And with two months left until the end of the year, their opportunity for AOTC Wave 2 diminishes more and more everyday. Between Andor and Wakanda Forever along with a She-Hulk/additional Black Adam character, I can easily see an announcement every week.

Not saying it’s over but…this last month felt like their chance.

I know that Hot Toys have lied and teased things before that have never been followed up, but this felt different compared to just a single figure like Shazam or Poe Dameron. To disappoint so brutally with the May the 4th reveals, without a single main character, that was expected. Teasing this overtly a 'wave of thrills' without following that up with characters their comment sections are filled with over and over again just feels like bad business. Don't tease at all at that point. Not saying you're wrong at all it just feels like as brutal of a letdown as possible, entirely brought upon by themselves.

They explicitly called it AOTC 20th Anniversary. Announcing it next year makes it the 21st year since release. That's as explicit as it's going to get imo. Happy to be proven wrong, but next year will be about ROTJ 40th.

Technically, there's that old tease of Anakin from Dooku's prototype reveal but that's a very long shot.

We are kidding ourselves with the next aotc wave. If it ever happens, we all know it will be reissues, repainted troopers and maybe, maybe mace windu. That tease was ages ago and no hint of mace since. We are in Disney plus hell. At least I am.

When the kit prototype was shown, my first thought was I don’t need it. With zero releases that I’m interested in right now, I’d take it.
