I know over at the S&F there are alot of neat looking custom pieces going on and also about your Gollum piece, I can almost gurantee that if SSW did this piece they would have not included a reflection. Its the little details like that wich make a piece that much nicer.

Exactly right. There are some absolutely fantastic sculptors mainly from Germany, but also the US and NZ doing some great custom LOTR work over there....and I'm pretty well involved in every one of those projects.

As for the smeagol reflection I can't take all the credit. When my guy mentioned the idea of having Gollum on a rock ledge overlooking a pool of water I ask about the possibility of having Gollum's reflection in the water. To my surprise he sent me some pic's a few days later and the reflection was one of Smeagol instead. That thought had never occured to me, but I simply loved the idea and I think it works magnificently!

A Gondorian Fountain Guard......hmmmmm. You mean something like this 1/6 scale FG made to look exactly like a SSW piece :

Unfortunately the entire edition of 60 [I have #4] sold out...Mine is with my painter right now and is scheduled for painting in the next few weeks. Pic's to follow.
And the best part...the sculptor is also making a White Tree of Gondor to go with the FG....giving us the opportunity to turn our statues into diorama's.

No, nothing so far Mike , though I do know of a 1/6 scale Mouth of Sauron on steed [with mithril shirt] project that is currently underway.

Thanks Shell, you're right I have posted the Gollum before and once I get all my custom piece's in hand I think I'll start a thread so everyone can see them. It is great to see all the custom stuff being done and it really would be worthwhile for anyone interested to occasionally visit the S&F forum 'cause that's where it's all happening. And no, LOTR will never die.
