Hey guys,
Wow, some great ideas in there! Some of the characters mentioned, I already make
I'll have to dig up the photos, my files are all over the place. Aubury started organizing everything into folders, then quit. At least I understood the eclectic system I had going
Here's a breakdown of what I make curently:
89 Keaton
Returns Keaton
Batman Begins
Indiana Jones (special edition)
Lurtz
Spawn
Dead End Batman
Dark Knight Returns (Frank Miller) Batman
Jack Sparrow (currently being retooled a bit)
"V" for Vendetta (still working out a couple things there)
The Crow
Some things I've put on hold for modifications:
Nicholson Joker
Jim Lee Batman
What I'm doing now:
Michael Myers (classic)
Michael Myers (Rob Zombie)
young Michael Myers (Daeg Farech)
Dr. Loomis (classic)
Dr. Loomis (Rob Zombie)
Selene
"Underworld" werewolf (this sucker will be amazing, if all goes according to plan!)
Special notes on a few of these:
Indy is probably the best of my line. I've been an obsessive fan since I was 8 and I don't think I take any character as seriously or as personally as Indy. I've been making Indy longer and better than anybody around. He really is the pride of my line, and the pinacle of my passion for the craft and attention to detail. And my "special edition" will include two interchangable heads; one with a turban to accomodate the Map Room disguise.
The classic 'HALLOWEEN' characters will be pretty standard, there isn't much there to incorporate for accessories/add-ons. But the RZ Myers is really elaborate. He has THREE interchangable heads: the "classic" mask (a real latex mask, by the way), unmasked complete with long hair (latex wig) and another with the jack o' lantern "escape" mask. This head actually required an entirely different wig sculpt to accomodate the mask as it's worn in the film. He will also have his Smith's Grove outfit, complete with restraints and real chains. I may end up just making two figures to pull this off. I know it's cool to have a ton of gear with one figure, but it can be a pain in the ass since you can't display it all together at the same time.
The RZ Loomis will come with two interchangable heads, too: the younger version with darker longer hair, and the short white-haired version. I did the master sculpt bald and clean shaven so I can create both later.
I'll dig up the CROW pics, but the new version will be slightly different. Currently he has real hair, but it's straight. I hate that. He'll end up with a latex wig like I made for Myers.
The McClaine is a strong possibility. I'm currently working on nude latex body skins, similar to what HT did. I'll be doing multiple body types, too. Not everyone has the same build, afterall. I'll have a "hero" type, an "average guy" and I'm thinking of a third, maybe along the lines of Michael Clarke Duncan just to have a big, bulky guy. And, yes, I'm doing a FULL BODY female skin, too.
And I would LOVE to attemt a Chewie.
I don't have photos of my Batman Begins. However, someone here emailed me a link to the 1:6 Warriors board where someone posted EXCELLENT photos of him. There's a photo showing both of my Keatons and my Begins all together. I'll dig that up, unless someone here has the link and can post it.
Ghostbusters is something I've wanted to do for a long time, too. I might be up for that.
Same for The Lost Boys. The problem I ran into there, they really only work as a set. I think I would have trouble getting people to committ to a whole set of figures, and there were four of them. And Marko's patchwork jacket would be a freakin' nightmare.
As for what I will or won't do, there really isn't a limit. If it's something I already make, or am in the process of making, I really don't need a group of more than maybe five for a "Freaks" discount. If it's a complete "from scratch" commission, I would obviously need a pretty large group (20 or so) to make it worth the time. Drop me a line if you have any ideas!
Cheers,
Shawn
